Bella Hadid<\/a>\u00a0marches to the beat of her own drum when it comes to her inimitable street style<\/a>. She famously doesn’t work with a stylist and turns heads each and every time she steps out, showcasing her own unique point of view. Now that it’s officially fall, she\u2019s championing some unexpected headwear<\/a> for the cold weather season and bringing back the bonnet.<\/p>\n

On Tuesday, Hadid was spotted out and about in New York City wearing a red and white striped knit hat with two braided strings that tied around her chin. She styled her brunette locks in a low ponytail with face-framing bangs. She sported other fall-ready pieces, like her oversized black knee-length sweater dress featuring circular cutouts along the sleeve, black tights, and tall black Prada lug-soled boots. She carried a distressed brown leather messenger satchel and wore her signature oval-shaped sunnies.<\/p>\n

Now that it has Hadid’s stylish seal of approval, it\u2019s safe to forecast that the bonnet will have a major street style moment soon. Balletcore<\/a>, knee-high socks<\/a>, cargo pants<\/a>, earmuffs<\/a>, UGG boots<\/a> and even tighty whities<\/a>, have each been worn by Hadid \u2014 and then quickly hit trendsetter status.<\/p>\n

Hadid has explained that she doesn\u2019t work with a stylist on her authentic street style looks, and maybe the freedom she\u2019s acquired without one is the secret ingredient as to why these unexpected outfits are always just so good.<\/p>\n

In January<\/a>, Hadid told\u00a0WSJ<\/a><\/em>, \u201cI haven\u2019t had a stylist in a long time, maybe two years now. I was in such a weird place mentally that it was really complicated for me to get out of the house and put an outfit together, especially with the anxiety of [paparazzi] being outside and all that. In the last year, it was really important for me to learn that even if people talk about my style or if they like it or if they don\u2019t, it doesn\u2019t matter, because it\u2019s my style<\/span><\/a>. When I leave the house in the morning, what I think about is: Does this make me happy?\u00a0Do I feel good in this and do I feel comfortable?<\/span><\/a>\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Like balaclavas and snoods (hat\/hood hybrids) last season, the resurgence of the bonnet might just be this year’s cold weather
