We\u2019re used to seeing Sydney Sweeney<\/a> in whimsical Miu Miu designs<\/a>, floral and ethereal Oscar de la Renta gowns<\/a>, and classic Tory Burch ensembles<\/a>, but we just saw another side of the Euphoria<\/em> star’s style on Monday evening. Sweeney attended an event at the Getty Center in Los Angeles wearing a futuristic and edgy leather-on-leather ensemble from Rokh\u2019s Spring\/Summer 2023 collection, recently shown during Paris Fashion Week.<\/p>\n

Styled by Molly Dickson, the Emmy-nominated actress<\/a> wore a black leather crop top jacket with cutouts above her bust. The jacket\u2019s button-down panel extended to a utilitarian skirt, worn with leather wide-legged trousers.<\/p>\n

The White Lotus<\/em><\/a> star teamed her look with black platform boots, dainty diamond earrings and an assortment of dazzling rings with a dark red manicure. Sweeney kept her makeup subtle and styled her honey blonde tresses in a scrunched wet look.<\/p>\n

Last week, Sweeney confirmed her new role as Barbarella<\/em><\/a> in the upcoming Sony Pictures project. Based on Jean-Claude Forest\u2019s French comic book series on a space-age vixen, the storyline was later turned into a 1968 feature film starring the legendary Jane Fonda. We can\u2019t help but spot the similarities between Sweeney\u2019s latest style moment and Fonda\u2019s intergalactic Paco Rabanne-designed space gear.<\/p>\n

On the red carpet, Sweeney spoke with Access Hollywood<\/em><\/a> about her look for the evening and her upcoming project. Sweeney said \u201cHonestly, when I put this on, I was like \u2018Am I giving a little bit of Barbarella?\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m excited for all the looks,\u201d Sweeney said. She added that she looked forward to \u201cthe amount of fun that I\u2019m going to have with the character. The original was so campy and fun, and I feel like Jane Fonda did such an amazing job of creating an iconic character and I\u2019m hoping I can fill those
