When onlookers first noticed that Victoria Beckham<\/a>\u2019s \u201cDB\u201d wrist tattoo had been removed, the rumor mill lit up with speculation that the fashion designer and former Spice Girl was leaving her husband of 23 years, famed soccer player David Beckham.<\/p>\n

The style icon discussed her tattoo removal with Hoda Kotb during an appearance on Today<\/em><\/a> on Thursday. \u201cYou know, I had these tattoos a long, long time ago and they just weren\u2019t particularly delicate,\u201d Beckham explained with a laugh. \u201cMy husband has so many gorgeous tattoos and the children do, and they\u2019re very fine, and they\u2019ve have them created by the most phenomenal artists.\u201d<\/p>\n

She added, \u201cBut mine were just a little bit thick, and they were bleeding a little bit, and just not looking as pretty.\u201d Beckham detailed that with time, the ink had faded to a blueish color.<\/p>\n

\u201cThey just didn\u2019t look so nice,\u201d she said. \u201cSo, it doesn\u2019t mean anything more than that. I think that the media started to speculate, \u2018Was I leaving my husband?\u2019 No, I was just a bit sick of the tattoo, it\u2019s as simple as that.\u201d<\/p>\n

With 23 years of marriage under their belt, the Beckhams share four children together, Brooklyn<\/a>, 23, Romeo, 20, Cruz, 17, and Harper, 11.<\/p>\n

Kotb noted that their marriage must be a wonderful example for their eldest son, who has just begun his married life. Brooklyn wed Nicola Peltz Beckham<\/a> in a\u00a0lavish April ceremony<\/a>\u00a0at her family\u2019s Palm Beach oceanfront estate in Florida.<\/p>\n

In an interview with GRAZIA USA<\/em><\/a>, Beckham said, \u201cIt\u2019s a big deal, your child getting married. I was very emotional. David\u2019s speech was beautiful.\u201d She went on, \u201cIt seems like yesterday that David was holding Brooklyn in his little purple cowboy hat and purple outfit at our wedding, and now our baby is married.\u201d<\/p>\n

Beckham continued, \u201cClaudia and Nelson [Peltz] have also been married a long time, so Brooklyn and Nicola have both seen that growing up.
