If the 2020 launch of the Herm\u00e8s beauty m\u00e9tier<\/a> taught us anything, it’s that the French house<\/a> has a very considered approach to color.<\/p>\n

The first launch, a range of silky lipsticks, drew inspiration from the storied brand archives (including leather and silk twillys), whilst the second installment of blushers was an homage to the color “rose.”<\/p>\n

Beauty rarely plays a major role on the Herm\u00e8s runway, but at the Spring 2023 show yesterday in Paris, artfully-placed neutral hues were a focus.<\/p>\n

Fresh skin (presumably prepped with the Plein Air complexion balm) was accentuated with a subtle gloss, whilst a swirl of blush was barely swept across the cheeks. The eyes were dusted with soft neutral shades: caramel, taupe, beige, peach and camel. Herm\u00e8s don’t currently have eye products within the lineup, but perhaps this is proof that the perfect neutral palette isn’t far off.<\/p>\n

Lips were also subtle but beautiful, accentuated with just a tiny amount of neutral lipstick and hydrating balm.<\/p>\n

Hair followed a similar suit: clean, glossy, shiny and natural.<\/p>\n

While there wasn’t much to it, the beauty look was chic and elevated; the perfect inspiration for new season neutrals.<\/p>\n
