Rihanna and A$AP Rocky<\/a> had a fashionable date night in New York City on Saturday evening, when they attended A$AP Rocky\u2019s afterparty for the Rolling Loud Festival, celebrating the collaboration with his new whiskey brand Mercer & Prince<\/a>. As usual, the stylish couple arrived at the nightclub 42 d’Or in memorable date night looks<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The Savage x Fenty founder stepped out in an oversized black, tan, and taupe Dion Lee<\/a> racing jacket, and a matching taupe asymmetrical ruched one-shoulder mini dress with a cascading train from the Sydney-based designer\u2019s latest Spring\/Summer 2023 collection.<\/p>\n

Styled by right-hand-man Jahleel Weaver<\/a>, Rihanna adorned a diamond tennis necklace, shimmering spiral earrings and thigh-high black leather Balenciaga boots. The Anti<\/em> artist wore her raven hair in an updo with side-swept bangs and rocked a warm makeup look with rose blush cheeks, a shimmering silver eye with mile-long lashes, and a glossed auburn lip.<\/p>\n

The following day, news broke that Rihanna will be headlining the Super Bowl LVII Halftime show<\/a> on February 12. To confirm the performance, Rihanna posted an image<\/a> of her intricately tattooed hand, holding up a football against a white background.<\/p>\n

According to USA Today<\/em><\/a>,\u00a0NFL Head of Music Seth Dudowsky said in a statement he was \u201cthrilled to welcome Rihanna to the Apple Music Super Bowl Halftime Show stage.\u201d<\/p>\n

“Rihanna is a once in a generation artist who has been a cultural force throughout her career. We look forward to collaborating with Rihanna, Roc Nation and Apple Music to bring fans another historic Halftime Show performance,\u201d continued Dudowsky.<\/p>\n

The 2022 halftime show featured a collective of legendary headliners, including Dr. Dre, Snoop Dog, Kendrick Lamar, Eminem, 50 Cent, and Mary J. Blige<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The move from Rihanna is somewhat surprising given that she refused an offer to perform in 2019 in light of the treatment of Colin Kaepernick. The San Fransisco 49ers star was ostracized by the NFL after he took the knee during the national anthem in 2016 in protest of racial injustice.<\/p>\n
