Credit: Courtesy of Koto Bolofo<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>In 1997 <a href=\"https:\/\/graziamagazine.com\/articles\/mariah-careys-most-iconic-beauty-moments-of-all-time\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Mariah Carey<\/a> released her sixth studio album\u00a0<em>Butterfly\u00a0<\/em>marrying R&amp;B and pop. &#8220;<em>Spread your wings and prepare to fly, For you have become a butterfly,&#8221;\u00a0<\/em>Carey sings. For the pop star the ethereal emblem was a symbol of transformation and journey. The motif seeped into her wardrobe and she most famously wore a glitter halter neck butterfly top on the red carpet in 2000. The likes of Naomi Campbell, Christina Aguilera and Tyra Banks cemented the motif as a fashion movement that in 2022 has stood the test of time.<\/p>\n<p>This season Carey has released a high jewelry collection in collaboration with Co-President and Artistic Director of Chopard Caroline Scheufele to reinterpret the butterfly into a three-piece diamond-paved jewelry set. The offering features a pair of asymmetrical earrings featuring wings that frame the wearer&#8217;s face, a necklace and a ring.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_220551\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-220551\" style=\"width: 1024px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-220551\" src=\"https:\/\/graziamagazine.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/09\/Chopard-X-Mariah-Carey_840239-1001.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1024\" height=\"1448\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-220551\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Chopard x Mariah Carey<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<figure id=\"attachment_220550\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-220550\" style=\"width: 1024px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-220550\" src=\"https:\/\/graziamagazine.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/09\/Chopard-X-Mariah-Carey_810453-1001.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1024\" height=\"1448\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-220550\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Chopard x Mariah Carey<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>The expertise of the Maison&#8217;s workshop sees the luxurious creations presented in 18-carat white gold and diamonds in different sizes to create an extraordinarily rich paved texture. Around the neck and as an ear pendant beneath one of the butterfly&#8217;s wings combines round-cut and heart-shaped diamonds that are reminiscent to the drops of a waterfall. The forthcoming Haute Joaillerie collection is made of Fairmined-certified ethical 18-carat white gold and diamonds from suppliers approved by the Responsible Jewellery Council in line with the objectives of the Journey to Sustainable Luxury undertaken by Chopard.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_220553\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-220553\" style=\"width: 1024px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-220553\" src=\"https:\/\/graziamagazine.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/09\/Happy_butterfly_Mariah_Carey_color_\u00a9Koto-Bolofo.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1024\" height=\"768\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-220553\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Chopard x Mariah Carey. Carey was given a book presenting a red carpet collection of Haute Joaillerie creations from Chopard to be worn on the evening.
