In recent weeks, one of the world’s most famous couples and seemingly rock-solid pairings has been plagued with break-up rumors<\/a>: supermodel\u00a0Gisele B\u00fcndchen and NFL star Tom Brady.<\/p>\n

According to Page Six, <\/em>the couple had an \u201cepic fight\u201d<\/a> over Brady\u2019s decision to un-retire from the NFL, after announcing his decision to step back from the sport in February and backtracking a mere six weeks later. \u201cThere\u2019s been trouble in the marriage over his decision to un-retire,” the source explained. “Gisele has always been the one with the kids. They had agreed he would retire to focus on the family, then he changed his mind.\u201d<\/p>\n

Now, in a rare interview about her marriage and relationship, B\u00fcndchen has opened up about Brady’s change of mind, saying she wishes her husband would be “more present” and that she’s done her “part” in taking a step back from her career to raise the pair’s two children, son Benjamin, 12, and daughter Vivian, 9.<\/p>\n

“I’ve done my part, which is [to] be there for [Brady],” she said for the cover of ELLE<\/a>.<\/em> “I moved to Boston, and I focused on creating a cocoon and a loving environment for my children to grow up in and to be there supporting him and his dreams.”<\/p>\n

She continued, “Seeing my children succeed and become the beautiful little humans that they are, seeing [Brady] succeed, and being fulfilled in his career\u2014it makes me happy. At this point in my life, I feel like I’ve done a good job on that.”<\/p>\n

B\u00fcndchen added that moving forward, she wants to focus on her goals. “I have a huge list of things that I have to do, that I want to do,” she said. “At 42, I feel more connected with my purpose,” she said, adding that she’d love her husband\u00a0“be more present” amid his busy football career.<\/p>\n

“Obviously, I have my concerns\u2014this is a very violent sport, and I have my children and I would like him to be more present,” she continued. “I have definitely had those conversations with him over and over again. But ultimately, I feel that everybody has to make a decision that works for [them]. He needs to follow his joy, too.”<\/p>\n

Notably, the interview was conducted prior to reports of a split between the pair. The writer notes they reached out to B\u00fcndchen this month for comment, but she declined to
