The Great<\/em> actress wanted to pay homage to her Hulu show’s costume department<\/a>, by wearing a dress created by costume designer Sharon Long and hand-crafted by Catherine Shaw.<\/p>\n

“The Old Hollywood glamor of the ’50s and specifically when costume designers would design actresses gowns \u2014 like Edith Head would always design Grace Kelly’s Oscars dress. It’s so special and you can see that those dresses are made with love,” Fanning told E! on the carpet. “Once I got nominated I thought, ‘Wouldn’t it be amazing if [Sharon] designed my dress?'” The result was a strapless black gown with pink embellishment at the bust with a wraparound skirt with matching pink lining inside.<\/p>\n
