Queen Elizabeth II has been put under medical supervision, Buckingham Palace announced in a statement on Thursday. The 96-year-old monarch is currently in Balmoral Castle in Scotland, where she spent the summer. According to the Palace, doctors are “concerned for Her Majesty\u2019s health.”<\/p>\n

“Following further evaluation this morning, The Queen’s doctors are concerned for Her Majesty’s health and have recommended she remain under medical supervision,” the statement said. They added that the Queen “remains comfortable and at Balmoral.”<\/p>\n

Just a day earlier, Queen Elizabeth canceled her meeting of her Privy Council to rest. According to royal reporter Omid Scobie, the royal family is on their way to be by the Queen’s side.<\/p>\n

“Representatives at Kensington Palace and Clarence house confirm that Prince William, Prince Charles and Camilla, the Duchess of Cornwall are travelling to Balmoral, Scotland,” Scobie tweeted<\/a>.<\/p>\n

He also gave an update on the whereabouts of the Queen’s other children. Princess Anne is already at Balmoral, Prince Edward and Sophie, the Countess of Wessex are on their way, and Prince Andrew is traveling separately.<\/p>\n

According to a Sussex spokesperson, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will also travel to Scotland, Scobie tweeted. The couple were in England earlier this week for the One Young World summit in Manchester<\/a>, and then visited Dusseldorf, Germany<\/a> for Prince Harry’s\u00a02023 Invictus Games \u201cOne Year To Go\u201d event.<\/p>\n

The Queen did make an appearance on Tuesday, when she welcomed the new Conservative Party leader\u00a0Liz Truss, who will replace Boris Johnson as Prime Minister, to Scotland, where they were photographed together.<\/p>\n

“The whole country will be deeply concerned by the news from Buckingham Palace this lunchtime. My thoughts \u2014 and the thoughts of people across our United Kingdom \u2014 are with Her Majesty The Queen and her family at this time,” Truss said in a
