I can’t stop staring at photos of Addison Rae<\/a> from the <\/span>2020 People’s Choice Awards<\/span><\/a> on Sunday, November 15. The “Social Star of 2020” award nominee’s makeup was a glorious fusion of modern cool-girl and classic elegance. Perfectly paired with her red gown, the Lousiana native’s glam is officially high up on our list of the best socially distant red carpet looks<\/a> of the year.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The 20-year-old stunned in a Sophie Theallet archival gown, styled by Siena Montesano<\/a>. She accessorized the dress with Jimmy Choo footwear and bold Tiffany & Co jewels. Rae specifically donned sword-like earrings, teamed with a chain-link bracelet and a matching necklace.<\/span><\/p>\n

The TikTok star’s glam was brought to life by celebrity makeup artist\u00a0<\/span>Kelsey Deenihan<\/span><\/a>. The Los Angeles-based professional took inspiration from Rae’s gown when working on her glam. “The classic silhouette of the dress gave us the inspiration to do a classic makeup look with a slight modern twist: glowing skin and a red lip with deep corners for a slight ombr\u00e9 effect,” explains Deenihan in a press statement.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The beauty expert even shared behind-the-scenes pics of the exact products she used, including favorites from\u00a0<\/span>Pat McGrath<\/span><\/a>,\u00a0<\/span>Alleven London<\/span><\/a>, and Rae’s makeup line,\u00a0<\/span>Item Beauty<\/span><\/a>. We can’t talk about Rae’s glam without giving props to her entire glam squad. Hairstylist Danielle Priano<\/a> styled the brunette beauty’s hair in a sophisticated ponytail that, like her makeup, was inspired by her gown. Priano used Redken products and Luxy Hair 24″ Chocolate Brown Balayage Classic Extensions<\/a> to perfect her long, glamorous pony.<\/p>\n

“We drew inspiration from the classic silhouette of Addison\u2019s gorgeous dress and decided to go with a ponytail,” says the stylist in a statement. “However, this isn\u2019t your average ponytail \u2013 we had to make it more modern with the length and high shine, courtesy of the new Redken Shine Flash<\/a>.”<\/p>\n

Last but not least, the dancer’s ombr\u00e9 manicure was courtesy of Thuy Nguyen<\/a> using OPI nail polish. “I originally wanted to create a lace base (with OPI\u2019s #blackonyx) with a black French tip but mid-way through the process……I decided to switch it up by ombr\u00e9-ing the tips!!!” writes Nguyen in an Instagram post<\/a>.<\/p>\n
