Designer Betsey Johnson<\/a> celebrated her milestone 80th birthday on August 10 by releasing a special birthday collection<\/a> with some of her greatest hits \u2014 but the party didn’t stop there. She later hosted a bash at L.A.\u2019s Lombardi House on August 23 that was as lively and eclectic as you\u2019d expect from fashion\u2019s Queen of Kitsch. Her name was lit up in glowing neon lights, there were brightly colored lawn chairs, bicycles, and pink plastic flamingos scattered across the venue, perfectly encompassed Johnson\u2019s enduring brand.<\/p>\n

Also fitting for the trendsetter? Having a slew of cool kids on-hand to ring in her big day. One included Euphoria <\/em>actress (and fashion It-girl on the rise<\/a>) Chloe Cherry<\/a>, who wore a full look from the style icon\u2019s 80th<\/sup> Birthday Collection<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Along with Cherry, Johnson was joined by stars like actress Larsen Thompson, influencer Benny Drama, and models Charlotte McKinney, Joy Corrigan, and Carmella Rose. Guests were treated with a surprise performance from RuPaul’s Drag Race<\/em> star Gottmilk, who joined Johnson in dropping into a split \u2014 one of the designer’s signature moves.<\/p>\n

Playing the recurring role as Faye in Euphoria<\/em>, Cherry exudes a dry-humored Valley girl portrayal of a young woman hiding out with Fezco (Angus Cloud) and Ashtray (Javon Walton). Cherry manages to provide comic relief in some anxiety-inducing scenes and has been considered a breakout star of the series\u2019 second season.<\/p>\n

Off screen, she’s also been one-to-watch with her Y2K fairy-inspired sultry style aesthetic \u2014 similar to her on-screen persona.<\/p>\n

She attended the festivities in Johnson\u2019s 80th<\/sup> Bash Corset Raglan dress<\/a> emblazoned with pink roses. She teamed her look with the brand\u2019s Johnny Rose patent leather combat boots<\/a>, also featuring a scattered rose print. Cherry accessorized her look with Johnson\u2019s pink Rose Frontal Necklace<\/a>, and pink Rose Linear Earrings<\/a>, adding an extra dose of camp with her Champagne bucket bag<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Johnson\u2019s 80th<\/sup> Birthday Collection included her beloved brightly-colored punk designs and some of Johnson\u2019s landmark signatures, like her \u201880s-era tulle tutus and \u201890s-inspired Mary Jane platforms.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis is a huge accomplishment in my life, and I can\u2019t believe I made it this far,\u201d Johnson said of her birthday. \u201cI live every day to the fullest and have never felt so beautiful, energetic and optimistic for the future. Can\u2019t wait for another 80 years.\u201d<\/p>\n
