Word on the street is that Aidan Shaw will reunite with ex-fianc\u00e9e Carrie Bradshaw in the next season of And Just Like That<\/em>. That’s right, according to a new report, John Corbett is reprising his character, Aidan, and “set for a substantial, multi-episode arc,” according to Deadline<\/em>.<\/p>\n

Now, we’ve been down this road before. Ahead of season 1, Corbett told\u00a0Page Six<\/a> <\/em>that he would be back in And Just Like That<\/em>, adding that he might be in “quite a few” episodes<\/a>. But after all 10 aired, he was no where to be found.<\/p>\n

Turns out, he was only joking when he initially said it. Sarah Jessica Parker cleared it all up<\/a> on Watch What Happens Live <\/em>after the finale, saying what he said “was fun.”<\/p>\n

\u201cWhen he actually reached out, very kindly, because he\u2019s nothing if not a gentleman, and apologized for doing that as a joke, and then I was like, \u2018No, no, no, it\u2019s a free country first of all.\u2019 And I thought it was kind of delightful and kind of fun.\u201d<\/p>\n

When asked if it’s possible he could return, she said: “I think he would be \u2026 I mean, I\u2019m not going, yes, all of it\u2019s possible.”<\/p>\n

Apparently, HBO never confirmed his involvement and writer Julie Rottenberg\u00a0told\u00a0Deadline<\/em><\/a> he should be “writing personal apology notes. We didn\u2019t say anything.”<\/p>\n

In the same interview, showrunner Michael Patrick King agreed, adding, \u201cWe always try to be very restrained and look at the reality of what people are experiencing and it has nothing to do with Aidan coming or not coming. It really just felt like this was a lot for Carrie. This season was a lot. We wanted to get her through this and into the light \u2014 the last episode is called, \u2018Seeing the Light.\u2019 We wanted to get her out. [Aidan\u2019s return] is a big storyline that everybody at home wrote that we had never intended.\u201d<\/p>\n

In Deadline<\/em><\/a>‘s new report, both HBO Max and Corbett declined to comment on the news of Corbett’s possible return for season 2.<\/p>\n

Since we’ve been let down before, we’re taking this news with a grain of salt, but considering that Aidan previously made a memorable appearance in Sex and the City 2<\/em>, when he and Carrie just so happen to be in the same souk in Abu Dhabi, we never know what’s in
