Brooklyn Beckham and Nicola Peltz<\/a> tied the knot in Miami in April, and ever since the two said \u201cI do,\u201d rumors of a major rift between Peltz and her new mother-in-law, fashion designer and former Spice Girl Victoria Beckham<\/a>, have stirred. As news of a “cold war<\/a>” between the two continues to circulate, the newlyweds have decided to clear the air in a new interview.<\/p>\n

Originally sparked by gossip Instagram page @DeuxMoi<\/a>, Page Six<\/em><\/a> picked up the story with claims that Peltz and Victoria, \u201ccan\u2019t stand each other and don\u2019t talk.\u201d<\/p>\n

Peltz revealed to\u00a0Variety<\/em><\/a> that she thinks all this began when she didn’t wear Victoria’s namesake brand on her wedding day. “I was going to and I really wanted to, and then a few months down the line, she realized that her atelier couldn\u2019t do it,\u201d Peltz said. \u201cSo then, I had to pick another dress. She didn\u2019t say you can\u2019t wear it; I didn\u2019t say I didn\u2019t want to wear it. That\u2019s where it started, and then they ran with that.\u201d<\/p>\n

Styled by Leslie Fremar, the bride donned a classic ivory bespoke Valentino Haute Couture wedding gown with\u00a0custom lace detailing and a dramatic train<\/a>, designed by the brand\u2019s creative director Pierpaolo Piccioli.<\/p>\n

Brooklyn, the eldest child of Victoria and soccer star David Beckham, had his own point of view on the claims made in the press. \u201cI\u2019ve learned they\u2019re always going to try to write stuff like that,\u201d he told the outlet. \u201cThey\u2019re always going to try and put people down. But everyone gets along, which is good.\u201d<\/p>\n
