Unless you have been living under a rock (or maybe cruising the Greek islands without internet, a far more glamorous reason), you’d be completely across the biggest celebrity break up of 2022. That is, Kim Kardashian and Pete Davidson<\/a> calling it quits after nine months together.<\/p>\n

The news landed over the weekend, with multiple outlets including the usually-reliable E! News<\/em> reporting the split. Interestingly (or, if you’re a conspiracy theorist re: the Kardashians, predictably), Khlo\u00e9 Kardashian quietly announced the birth of her second child with toxic on\/off partner, Tristan Thompson… and Travis Scott had his first show back after the horrific Astroworld concert that saw the accidental deaths of 10 people. That event? Also nine months ago.<\/p>\n

Kardashian conspiracies aside, rumors around Kim Kardashian and Pete Davidson’s demise are starting to swirl. A source has spoken to Page Six<\/em><\/a> today, citing the couple’s age difference and Kanye West’s influence as reasons for their break up.<\/p>\n

\u201cPete is 28 and Kim is 41 \u2014 they are just in very different places at the moment,\u201d the source says, explaining that it was Pete’s lifestyle that started to expose cracks in their relationship. \u201cPete is totally spontaneous and impulsive and wants her to fly to New York, or wherever he is on a moment\u2019s notice. But Kim has four kids and it isn\u2019t that easy. She needs to focus on the kids.\u201d<\/p>\n

Apparently Kim’s busy career was also a factor, with the source saying Kim was \u201ctotally exhausted by this relationship and other things going on in her life.\u201d<\/p>\n

There was also, apparently, the Kanye factor. Kim’s ex-husband never warmed to her relationship with Pete, but according to the\u00a0Page Six<\/em> source, he actively tried to derail it, too. \u201cWhen Kim is with someone else,\u00a0Kanye can cause problems\u00a0with the kids. He tries to\u00a0divide and conquer. He can\u2019t help it. Kim is a really dedicated mother, and her kids will always come first. She wants and needs harmony at home and in her life.\u201d<\/p>\n

Since their split, Davidson has been seen out and about on the Gold Coast in Australia, looking disheveled (but also, what’s new) but smiling for paparazzi. Kim has posted a promotional series of photos with daughter North West, wearing new Yeezy sunglasses. While this seems like a hint at potential reconciliation with Kanye, fans have noted that Kim may still have a financial investment in the
