Camila Coelho<\/span><\/a> was 18 years old when she worked at a Dior makeup counter at her local Macy’s and discovered how “impactful, empowering, and transformative beauty is.” It was there, selling French luxuries, where the Brazil native’s journey as an entrepreneur and beauty vlogger began.<\/span><\/p>\n

“It was from that moment, hustling at that makeup counter, that I decided to become a makeup artist,” says the 32-year-old. “I worked as a makeup artist for a few years, and it was from being a makeup artist that I found YouTube in 2010.” Today, the Brazil native is considered a mega-influencer with an eponymous fashion label<\/a> and newly launched beauty and lifestyle brand, <\/span>Elaluz<\/span><\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n

Elaluz launched this past September. The brand name means “She is light” in the star’s native language, Portuguese. “Light is everything to me,” gushes the blogger in an<\/span>\u00a0Instagram video.<\/span><\/a>\u00a0“Light is energy, light is confidence, light is beauty. I truly believe that every human being is born with an individual light shining inside of them.” This bit explains Coehlo’s affinity for taking sun-soaked Instagram selfies to share with her 8 million Instagram followers.<\/span><\/p>\n

In the morning, I start by washing my face with water. Then, I apply my Elaluz Beauty Oil<\/a>, an eye cream, and then I use a Gua Sha tool to give my face a lymphatic massage to de-puff. I then apply my favorite sunscreen<\/a> by SkinCeuticals and the Elaluz 24K Lip Therapy<\/a>. On days that I don’t want to wear a lot of makeup, but I still want to look flush and healthy, I’ll apply the Elaluz Lip & Cheek<\/a> stain to give my face that natural glow.<\/span><\/p>\n

Normal morning makeup routine?<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

Lately, I have been going for a more natural look. I wear a bit of concealer, along with the Elaluz Lip & Cheek stain to give my face a natural flush. I always have my 24K Lip Therapy in reach to keep my lips hydrated at all times (it’s great to use at night as a lip mask as well!). I always finish with mascara and a soft, smoky liner close to my lash root, winging it out a bit to make my eyes stand out in a natural way. When do you normally get dressed for the day? How long does it take you? Or does it depend on the day?<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

I usually get dressed and put a little makeup on before I go downstairs for breakfast. I like to have breakfast in the outfit I am going to wear for the day, or else I end up having breakfast and checking my emails in my pajamas.<\/span><\/p>\n

My go-to breakfast is scrambled eggs, black coffee, and my homemade Brazilian Pao De Queijo. It’s the perfect way to start the day.<\/span><\/p>\n

Any other morning rituals that are important to you?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Mental health and wellness are so important to me. It’s so important to slow down and reflect, so I take a few minutes to think about three things I am most grateful for at the beginning of each day. I also always take 10-15 minutes each day to step outside, take in the sun, and be in nature. I started doing a 20-second hug with my husband every day, and I think it’s also helped me relieve stress.<\/p>\n

What fashion pieces or accessories make you look forward to changing out of your pajamas?<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

My go-to outfit right now has been sweatpants sets \u2014 tie-dye, neutrals, any loungewear pieces that are comfortable and cute at the same time.<\/span><\/p>\n
