Unless you\u2019ve been living under a rock recently \u2014 or have more of a grip on social media than the majority of the population \u2014 you would\u2019ve noticed Instagram pushing Reel upon Reel into your face every time you open the app.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

In a bid to compete with TikTok, Instagram has been pivoting to video content for a while now. But in recent months, it\u2019s been almost impossible to find any semblance of the old Instagram \u2014 a.k.a. photos of your friends, family and people you follow \u2014 on the algorithm at all.<\/span><\/p>\n
