Cue the nostalgia! Ashton Kutcher and wife Mila Kunis<\/a> will both be reprising their roles in the new That \u201870s Show<\/em> spinoff, the Netflix original series, That \u201890s Show,\u00a0<\/em>and Kutcher is opening up about how it felt returning to set.<\/p>\n

Chatting with Variety<\/em><\/a> at the red carpet premiere for his new film Vengeance<\/em>, Kutcher told the outlet, \u201cIt was really nostalgic to be back on set. It\u2019s all the same folks that made That \u201870s Show<\/em>, so it was pretty bizarre.\u201d<\/p>\n

He’s reprising his role of Michael Kelso, while wife Mila Kunis (who plays Jackie Burkhart) is also returning to the reboot. They two first met on the set of That \u201870s Show<\/em> in 1998 when they were 20 and 14 years old, respectively, and portrayed on-screen loves. (Kunis\u2019 first kiss was even a scripted moment between her and Kutcher!) The pair reunited in 2012, tied the knot in 2015 and now share two children together<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Kutcher went onto explain why he and Kunis decided to return to the series. \u201cMila and I were contemplating it. We thought, \u2018Listen, we\u2019re only in the position that we\u2019re in because of that show, so let\u2019s just go back and do this. We just went back and had fun for a week. It was so random and fun.\u201d Going on to tease a bit of what we can expect, Kutcher said, \u201cIt\u2019s really funny. The new cast is phenomenal.\u201d<\/p>\n

The couple will reunite with their former castmates Topher Grace who played Eric Forman, Orange is the New Black<\/em>\u2019s Laura Prepon who played Donna Pinciotti, Wilmer Valderrama who played Fez, along with Kurtwood Smith and Debra Jo Rupp as Red and Kitty Forman, with a guest appearance from non-other than Tommy Chong.<\/p>\n

Last week, Valderrama tweeted a photo of his script<\/a>, joking, “To whom it may concern\u2026 Now if I could just remember the accent..”<\/span><\/p>\n

The last member of the show’s friend group, Danny Masterson (who portrayed Steven Hyde), will not reprise his role, as he is awaiting trial<\/a> on three separate counts of rape. Masterson has denied all allegations.<\/p>\n

The series will follow Eric and Donna\u2019s daughter Leia Forman while she visits her grandparents for the summer in 1995. Meeting a whole new generation of Point Place kids, the Netflix synopsis reads, \u201cSex, drugs and rock \u2019n roll never dies, it just changes clothes.\u201d<\/p>\n

As we await an official release date, we’ll be busy binging the original series.
