The latest styling aesthetic taking the world by storm is the “coastal grandmother” vibe, and <\/span>GRAZIA USA<\/em><\/span> has been keeping up with the fashion trend<\/span><\/a> since it first broke the internet back in April. It all started with <\/span>TikToker\u00a0<\/span>Lex Nicoleta<\/span><\/a>, who takes credit for coining the term. She describes \u201ccoastal grandmother\u201d as the aesthetic for people who \u201clove Nancy Meyer movies, coastal vibes, recipes and cooking, Ina Garten, and cozy interiors.\u201d (The hashtag #coastalgrandmother now has over 159 million views on TikTok!)<\/span><\/p>\n

Ever since the trend took hold, we’ve been eager to know how the influencer who coined the term styles it herself. Luckily, <\/span>Nicoleta<\/a> just spoke with <\/span>GRAZIA USA <\/em>and shared exclusive details<\/span> behind her viral coastal grandmother videos.<\/span><\/p>\n

“If you\u2019re trying to channel coastal grandmother style, I always say to follow the three C\u2019s: classic, comfortable and chic,” says the 26-year-old. <\/span>“This style is traditional and classic by nature so rather than picking trendy pieces, opt for something more timeless. Because coastal grandmothers are busy tending to their gardens or picking up pastries from their local french bakery, they need to dress comfortably. However, just because they\u2019re comfortable doesn\u2019t mean they\u2019re not chic.”<\/span><\/p>\n

But don’t forget the finishing touches. “A coastal grandmother\u2019s outfit is always detail oriented and that\u2019s what pulls everything together. Think: structured sunglasses, a sweater over your shoulders, beautiful jewelry and fabulous shoes,” Nicoleta adds.<\/span><\/p>\n
