The four-time Grand Slam champion Naomi Osaka is at it again! The brand teamed with the tennis pro and activist for their second collaboration together. This time, Osaka designed five playful denim pieces for Levi\u2019s Spring\/Summer 2022 collection<\/a> that encapsulate the star’s unique sartorial perspective.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

While Muhammad Ali may have had the motto, “float like a butterfly sting like a bee,” Osaka likes to say that off the court, she’s \u201cgentle like a flower.” But when she’s on? She’s ferocious like a bear. Fusing the two juxtaposing personality traits, Osaka chose the \u201cflower bear\u201d as her motif to represent the collaboration. Each piece is based on original sketches by Osaka, and all five garments feature contrasting denim and plays with proportions for statement-making silhouettes.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cI wanted to keep this collection fun and playful, and also include some pieces for everyone,\u201d said Osaka in an official statement. \u201cI was trying to bring some light-heartedness with this collection as a reminder for us all to enjoy the life we\u2019re living and not take things too seriously. Best of all, these pieces all make me feel super confident and comfortable because they\u2019re all so flattering and fun to wear.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

The collection comes with an outfit-ready assortment consisting of a coat, jacket, top, skirt, and jean. Each piece has been made with 100 percent organically grown cotton. The oversized Artist Coat features contrasting washes of denim, wide sleeves and drop shoulders for an effortless flair. For a lighter outerwear option, Osaka and Levi\u2019s created the cropped Zip Bomber jacket with a laser flower-bear print, puff sleeves, and elastic cuffs and hem.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Denim Halter Top serves as the perfect basic, the light-wash denim corset bustier features a zip-up enclosure for some extra edge. For a classic pairing, the \u201893 Naomi Jean is based off the classic men\u2019s 501 Jean, with its slouchy silhouette, amped up with Osaka\u2019s flower-bear laser print. Finishing off the collection, the Mermaid Skirt is composed of contrasting denim, with a ruffled high-low hemline.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

A burgeoning figure in fashion, Osaka has worked with the <\/span>Levi’s team before in August 2021. The athlete has also modeled in campaigns for Louis Vuitton<\/a>, collaborated with brand\u2019s like Frankie\u2019s Bikinis<\/a>, ADEAM<\/a>, and served as a co-host of the 2021 Met Gala<\/a>.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
