In 2021 however, the actress embarked on the long haul flight to Australia to film possibly her last ever rom-com.<\/p>\n<p>Overnight Universal Pictures released the trailer to\u00a0<em>Ticket to Paradise\u00a0<\/em>starring Roberts alongside longtime collaborator <a href=\"https:\/\/graziamagazine.com\/articles\/george-clooney-smartless-podcast\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">George Clooney.<\/a> The cast also includes Kaitlyn Dever and Billie Lourd while <em>Emily in Paris\u00a0<\/em>star<a href=\"https:\/\/graziamagazine.com\/articles\/lucas-bravo-ticket-to-paradise-julia-roberts\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"> Lucas Bravo will make his film debut<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"TICKET TO PARADISE | Trailer 1 (Universal Pictures) HD\" width=\"500\" height=\"281\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/xB5TFOtQLEw?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>The film is directed by OI Parker (known for <em>Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again<\/em>) and follows an ex husband and wife (Clooney and Roberts) as they travel to Bali \u2014 which was actually filmed in Queensland \u2014 to stop their lovestruck daughter from making the same mistake they once made. But through their experience seemingly fall in love with each other all over again.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_216884\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-216884\" style=\"width: 1024px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-216884\" src=\"https:\/\/graziamagazine.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/8Z42_D007_00719R.jpeg\" alt=\"Ticket to Paradise\" width=\"1024\" height=\"683\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-216884\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Credit: Universal Pictures<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>The on-screen pair have also starred in\u00a0<em>Ocean&#8217;s Eleven\u00a0<\/em>and\u00a0<em>Money Monster.\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n<p>The script is written by Daniel Pipski and is produced by Tim Bevan (<em>Darkest Hour, The Danish Girl)<\/em> and Eric Fellner (<em>The Theory of Everything, Les Mis\u00e9rables<\/em>) for Working Title, Sarah Harvey (<em>The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel<\/em>), Deborah Balderstone (<em>Palm Beach, Gone<\/em>), by George Clooney and Oscar\u00ae winner Grant Heslov (<em>Argo, The Midnight Sky<\/em>) for Smokehouse Pictures and, by Julia Roberts, Lisa Roberts Gillan and Marisa Yeres Gill for Red Om Films.<\/p>\n<p>Luckily for you and I, we won&#8217;t have to wait long for the release which will drop into theaters on October 21.<\/p>\n<p>Australia has become an unofficial Hollywood in recent years with the recently-released <em>ELVIS\u00a0<\/em>and\u00a0<em>Thor: Love and Thunder\u00a0<\/em>both filmed Down Under.
