When it comes to Coach collaborations, creative director Stuart Vevers knows how to pick someone who shares the same optimistic spirit as the brand and who finds the beauty in ordinary things. After all, the designer often brings renewed beauty to the everyday (see: his nostalgia-inspired \u201cCoach Forever Season Two” fashion film<\/a>) and he’s bringing another wave of inspiring pieces to stores with a new collection featuring artwork by Tom Wesselmann<\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n

“Like my collections for Coach, Tom Wesselmann’s work is inspired by the extraordinary found in the everyday and the universal references that bring us together,” Vevers said in a press release<\/span>.\u00a0<\/span><\/em>“Sensory and joyful, our collaboration is a tribute to the sense of pleasure Tom found in the process of creating. I’m very honored to have worked with his family to bring it to life, and proud to share his work with a new generation.”<\/span><\/p>\n

The collection features the late artist’s iconic graphic motifs on signature Coach styles, such as the Rogue<\/a> and Duffle<\/a> bags and shearling jackets<\/a>. Prints are also featured on other ready-to-wear offerings, footwear, and lifestyle goods. Every piece was given the Wesselmann treatment and features the artist’s best-known colorful works, including lips, flowers, manicured woman’s hands, and more.<\/span><\/p>\n

Like past campaigns, Vevers stacked the line-up with a cast of celebrities who the brand calls “Coach fam.” Hari Nef, Kai-Isaiah Jamal, and Manami Kinoshita star in the campaign photographed by the iconic Juergen Teller. The models bring the collection to life in a series of photos and animated film joyfully posing with the products. There’s also an original poem written by Jamal and inspired by Wesselmann\u2019s work in the campaign.<\/span><\/p>\n

You can immerse yourself into the collection via digital experiences where you can play with Wesselmann’s iconic motifs through social filters and hop on #eduTok, where the brand has explainers on the artist’s life and work. The Coach x Tom Wesselmann<\/a> collection will be available to shop at pop-ups and store globally \u2014 including the SoHo location, which hosted a fabulous f\u00eate to celebrate the collection on Tuesday.<\/span><\/p>\n
