On Monday night, the designer returned to the New York City landmark to present his Fall-Winter 2022 collection, which was rooted in a futuristic dystopia.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We have art not to die of the truth,&#8221; the designer quoted German philosopher Nietzsche in his show notes. He continued, &#8220;Amidst an ever-changing landscape of resources, unexpected obstacles, and a world feverishly digitizing new standards of reality, my sentiment is unwavering \u2014 creativity is essential to living.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Much like his last show, his presentation on Monday evening also was an intimate affair with a small number of guests. Those who scored an invite included big names like<em> Selling Sunset<\/em> breakout star and new fashion It-girl <a href=\"https:\/\/graziamagazine.com\/us\/articles\/balenciaga-resort-2023-show\/\">Christine Quinn<\/a>, model Emily Ratajkowski, and fellow designer Anna Sui.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"RUNWAY MARC JACOBS FALL 2022\" width=\"500\" height=\"281\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/YfApUJmR2aM?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Jacobs&#8217; aesthetic has garnered his cult-like following, and this season, he continued to build on his signatures. He showed exaggerated pillow-like stuffed knits, reworked denim, and bulbous dresses with jackets tied around the waist. There was also a continuation of his chunky platform boots, and statement accessories like XXL tote bags, which we&#8217;re sure to see in a matter of time on the streets by our favorite Y2K style stars.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_59444\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-59444\" style=\"width: 1024px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-59444\" src=\"https:\/\/graziamagazine.com\/us\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/15\/2022\/06\/GettyImages-1405535784.jpg\" alt=\"Marc Jacobs Fall 2022\" width=\"1024\" height=\"1536\" data-gz_credit=\"Credit: Dimitrios Kambouris\/Getty Images for Marc Jacobs)\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-59444\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Gigi Hadid walks the runway during rehearsal at Marc Jacobs Fall 2022 at the New York Public Library.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>The designer often leans into strong storytelling for his runway shows, and he complimented the over-the-top looks with a cast of models (including sister model duo Gigi and Bella Hadid) with nearly unrecognizable shaved hairdos. Both Hadids strutted down the library hall in wigs with baby bangs and an extreme undercut. To compliment their new hairstyles, the sister&#8217;s brows were also bleached blonde, playing into the latest subversive beauty trend recently seen on Julia Fox and Sydney Sweeney.<\/p>\n<p>Dive
