Recently, Sarah Jessica Parker<\/a> has been speaking openly about aging, notably after photo<\/a> of her without makeup, and her gray hair slicked back in a braid circulated in the news last summer. In a new interview with Allure<\/em><\/a>, fans and friends told Parker that she is brave for going gray to which she responded “Please, please<\/em>\u00a0applaud someone else’s courage on something!”<\/p>\n

Parker does not believe that going gray and aging is brave, it’s more a part of life. In the same interview, she said, “I just don’t understand why I’m supposed to be spending that much time thinking about it.” Parker added, “It’s not that I’m purposefully dismissive or delusional. But I don’t really ponder it. There’s been far more peripheral chatter about my time spent on earth than I’ve spent thinking about it myself.”<\/p>\n

According to the outlet, Parker has been working on a new campaign with RoC Skincare that has been built upon research surrounding women’s mental health and aging. A study featuring 600 women focused on how they felt about getting older was spearheaded by Dr. Daisy Robinton, a cell and molecular biologist. The results according to RoC<\/a>: “90% of women are anxious about aging, and the number-one driver of that anxiety is related to the way they look.”<\/p>\n
