Designer and entrepreneur, Autumn Adeigbo, creates vibrant clothing for women who like to stand out in the crowd. In just under two years, she has raised enough funding that the brand is valued at $4.2 million dollars, with the help of some new A-list investors, like Cameron Diaz<\/a>, Mila Kunis<\/a>, and Gabrielle Union<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Before we get into the new investors, Adeigbo has been making big moves in the industry since 2016. The designer is mentored by Tory Burch, and recently spoke alongside Anna Wintour in May at the annual Parsons School of Design benefit, and was awarded the Table award, which recognizes individuals that have made a noteworthy impact on the design industry, and inspired students. Adeigbo also received the Fashion Designer on the Rise award at the Neiman Marcus-sponsored National Black Arts Fine Art + Fashion Awards in April.<\/p>\n

Adeigbo became friends with Diaz and Kunis while they were on a retreat hosted by Gwyneth Paltrow and entrepreneur Brit Morin. Adeigbo said in a press release, \u201cIf you would have told me years ago that Cameron and I would become friends let alone business allies I would have never believed you.”<\/p>\n

Diaz praised Adeigbo in the same release saying, \u201cThe room lights up when Autumn walks into the room. And her designs, no matter who\u2019s wearing them, do the same. She is a star and her ability to shine her light through her designs is what makes them so desirable.” Adding, “I\u2019m thrilled and honored to be part of her journey.”<\/p>\n

Adiegbo has been a fan of Kunis for a long time. “Words don’t describe how much I look up to her. She is such a pillar of cultural excellence, activism, and entrepreneurship, let alone the impact she has made in Hollywood. She continued, “I couldn’t be happier that Mila found my company in alignment with her fashion and entrepreneurial passions.” Kunis, in response to the designer, said the two had an immediate connection, and investing in her brand was a “no brainer.” The actress continued, “I saw the fire in her eyes as the determination I recognize in successful entrepreneurs that tells me they won\u2019t give up on the difficult start up path.”<\/p>\n

Gabrielle Union, who also recently invested in the brand, was already a fan of the designer (and wore a look on Instagram, below). Adeigbo said, “Gabrielle has been so unbelievably supportive of me and my dreams, she is very outspoken with her support of Black women and female entrepreneurship. Her cultural expertise extends past her deep impact in Hollywood into her business acumen.”<\/p>\n
