Celebrating the most outstanding musicals and plays of the year, the 2022 Tony Awards marked its return to Radio City Music Hall for its first in-person ceremony since 2019.<\/p>\n

Hosted by Broadway performer and newly-minted Academy Award-winner<\/a>, West Side Story<\/em> actress Ariana DeBose, the evening was a memorable one, with stars like Jesse Tyler Ferguson and Patti LuPone taking home awards, and Jennifer Hudson making history with her impressive EGOT win<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Of course, there were also plenty of must-see red carpet moments throughout the night. Whether evoking classic Old Hollywood glamor (like Jessica Chastain), or bringing high drama with opulent capes (Cynthia Erivo), A-listers put their best sartorial foot forward to celebrate The Great White Way.<\/p>\n

As she prepares for her upcoming role as the witch Elphaba in the big screen adaptation of the Broadway staple Wicked<\/em><\/a> alongside Ariana Grande, Erivo stepped out in an angelic white silk-chiffon hooded cape gown from Giambattista Valli\u2019s Spring\/Summer 2022 Haute Couture collection, paired with Tiffany & Co. jewels.<\/p>\n
