After completing the\u00a0New York Fashion Tech Lab<\/a>‘s 12-week program, the five innovative, women-lead companies selected for the 2022 Lab<\/a> celebrated their work and advancement with multiple events in New York City. The three-day affair culminated with Demo Day, where each company demonstrated the technologies and unique solutions they bring to the fashion industry.<\/p>\n

Throughout the 12-week session, the founders of the tech start-ups, Dress X<\/a>, Greenlist<\/a>, Window<\/a>, Digital Village<\/a>, and Squadded<\/a>, all worked with 12 global fashion brands and retailers to connect tech with fashion, beauty and retail to bring innovative new ideas to the space.<\/p>\n

The cohort engaged in curated workshops and had sessions with investors and senior executives from the Lab\u2019s network of experts, which included Burberry, the Est\u00e9e Lauder Companies, Levi Strauss & Co, LVMH, Macy\u2019s Inc, Perry Ellis International, PVH Corp, Richemont, Tapestry, Tory Burch, Marriott International, and Walmart. Program partner Accenture also returned this year, as well as Spring Place NYC, a shared workspace and private membership club, which has worked with NYFTLab since 2017.<\/p>\n

The 2022 Lab was all run virtually, so cohorts and partners met for first time in person this week when they gathered to celebrate at an intimate dinner, networking breakfast, and Demo Day during their time at the 9th Annual New York Fashion Tech Lab.<\/p>\n

It all kicked off on June 6 with the NYFTLab Program Dinner at Zero Bond, co-hosted by SVB and GRAZIA USA,\u00a0<\/em>and attended by the founders, fashion and retail partners, NYFTLab Team, and Springboard Enterprises\u2019 Chairman and CEO.<\/p>\n

The following day, the cohort, partners, as well as NYFTLab Alumni, the NYFTLab Expert Network (which consists of over 80 industry experts and investors)<\/span>, plus additional retailers, brands, investors, the NYFTLab Team, and Springboard Enterprises Team, all attended the NYFTLab Breakfast Reception at Spring Place NYC co-hosted by First Republic Bank.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

A standout moment came later in the day when the NASDAQ Time Square Feature projected the NYFTLab on the NASDAQ Tower, and the cohorts were on-hand to see their brands light up Time Square.<\/p>\n

Finally, the N.Y.C. gathering ended with the NYFTLab Tech Runway Demo Day, which was live streamed via the TOUCHCAST Platform on June 8, where retailers, brands, investors and press all gathered to watch each NYFTLab 2022 participant present their brand and the new technologies and unique solutions they can offer within the industry.<\/p>\n

When selecting each start-up to participate this year, NYFTLab sought out early-to growth-stage emerging tech companies that have developed B2B innovations at the intersection of fashion, retail, and technology. These five companies all bring solutions to advance the fashion industry through the Metaverse, NFT’s, Social Commerce, Returns, and Personalization. Over the years, the NYFTLab has accumulated 70 alumni which have addressed over 60 different areas of interest.<\/p>\n
