Julia Roberts<\/a> has been generating buzz for her upcoming rom-com with George Clooney<\/a> (you may remember that she joked it would probably “be terrible<\/a>“). As fans get ready to welcome her back to her rom-com roots, the actress is already at work on her next project \u2014 this time starring alongside other industry titans, Denzel Washington and Ethan Hawke.<\/p>\n

On Monday, Roberts<\/a> was spotted on the beaches of Long Island filming her new movie, Leave the World Behind<\/em>. The actress was looking beach-casual in a perfect pair of denim cutoffs, a breezy tunic, wide-brim sun hat and flip flops in-hand.<\/p>\n

According to Deadline<\/em><\/a>,\u00a0the upcoming thriller is based on the 2020 book of the same name by Rumaan Alam (which was a 2020 National Book Awards finalist). The story two families on a long weekend gone terribly wrong and examines parenthood, race and class. Mr. Robot<\/em> creator Sam Esmail is directing, while Hawke plays Roberts’ husband.<\/p>\n

While fans are going to have to wait a beat for the thriller to hit Netflix, her rom-com film with Clooney, Ticket to Paradise<\/em><\/a>, is set to hit theaters in October 2022.<\/p>\n

Even though Roberts jokingly warned fans that she thinks it is “probably going to be terrible,” we can’t imagine that’s true.
