Pride month is here and like years’ past, brands are showing their support and allyship to the LGBTQ+ community. But which are going beyond rainbow-stylized collections and stepping up to <\/span>fully support the community? We’re rounding up fashion brands giving back to important causes in significant ways.<\/span><\/p>\n

Some are making hefty donations to LGBTQ+ organizations, like COS and Levi’s. <\/span>Others are bringing the community together, like Coach, which kicked off Pride by not only releasing a Pride-themed collection (with proceeds supporting the Hetrick-Martin Institute<\/a>, the Point Foundation<\/a>, and CenterLink Community through The Coach Foundation), but also threw a bash at the iconic West Village institution The Monster, to celebrate the power of allyship in a place where everyone can be their authentic selves.<\/span><\/p>\n

So whether you\u2019re searching for a look to wear to your local Pride march, or hitting the beaches of Fire Island, why not shop with purpose? The proceeds will go to support AVP\u2019s mission of empowering lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, and HIV-affected communities and allies to end all forms of violence.<\/span><\/p>\n

Until June 22, the brand will donate 100% of proceeds from the Somewhere Over The…Bracelet to AFC’s Welcome Home Campaign.<\/span><\/p>\n

Coach<\/span><\/h4>\n

The Coach Foundation is continuing its year-round donations to the <\/span>Hetrick-Martin Institute<\/span><\/a>\u00a0and the\u00a0<\/span>Point Foundation<\/span><\/a>, two organizations dedicated to supporting LGBTQ+ youth. The brand’s partnership with CenterLink Community of LGBTQ Centers helped with the launch of a <\/span>digital support tool<\/span><\/a> for queer teens to explore and affirm their identity called IMI. In addition, this year, Coach hosted a kick-off party at The Monster hosted by Coach friends Saucy Santana, Benny Drama, and more stars featured in its “Go All Out For Pride” collection campaign.<\/span><\/p>\n

Instead of guests taking home a goodie bag at the end of the night, Montserrat gave each guest the gift of giving back. Luxury retailer, The Webster launched an exclusive partnership with revived French heritage brand Courr\u00e8ges. The capsule pulls from the brand’s archives and repurposes the garment through a prism of monochromatic colors representative of the LGBTQIA+ flag. The capsule also includes two unisex T-shirts that The Webster will donate 100% of the proceeds to <\/span>NO DRAMA<\/span><\/a>, a social platform that champions creativity and acceptance in the queer culture while creating a safe space for them to express themselves.<\/span><\/p>\n

AMI<\/span><\/h4>\n

AMI partnered with Tom Daley for an exclusive collaboration in honor of Pride Month. The British gold medal-winning Olympic diver knitted two sweater designs for the capsule. The first, the Ami de Coeur Rainbow Jumper, features a hand-embroidered Ami de C\u0153ur logo, in an alpaca and merino wool blend. <\/span>The second knit is a Cropped Cable Jumper, based on an AMI runway piece, with a cropped body and elongated arms. Each design will be available at different events.<\/p>\n

The Rainbow Jumper will be sold to the highest bidder at an online auction on drouot.com<\/a> through June 14. <\/span>The Cropped Cable Jumper will be sold through an NFT sale with 500 NFT packages. In addition, the brand has commissioned four LGBTQIA+ artists, Serge Gay Jr., Andy Bellomo, Parisa Parnian, and Marcos Chin, to create unique pieces incorporating vintage Banana Republic garments. Banana Republic will showcase the one-of-a-kind works of art across the country in the windows of their Grant Avenue location in San Francisco, Rockefeller Center in New York City, Aventura in Miami, Michigan Avenue in Chicago, and Century City in Los Angeles stores.<\/span><\/p>\n

The event follows the launch of the Saks Pride Month campaign, titled “Show Your Pride,” which celebrates the LGBTQ+ community, spotlighting notables and their stories.
