Sarah Jessica Parker<\/a> just opened up about her fractured relationship with her Sex and the City\u00a0<\/em>costar, Kim Cattrall<\/a>.<\/p>\n

In an exclusive with The Hollywood Reporter<\/em><\/a>, Parker said, “There were just a lot of public conversations about how she felt about the show,” which Parker found to be “very painful.” She added, “They did not reflect our [hers, Kristen Davis’ and Cynthia Nixon’s] experience.”<\/p>\n

In recent years, Cattrall has spoken publicly about her riff with her costar, and shared that she not on board with a third Sex and the City<\/em> movie after their sequel was released in 2010. Her iconic character, Samantha Jones, didn’t return to the reboot<\/a> of the show, And Just Like That.<\/em><\/p>\n

Parker talked about the third movie falling through telling the outlet, “They didn\u2019t feel comfortable meeting where she wanted to meet, and so we didn\u2019t do the movie because we didn\u2019t want to do it without Kim.” Adding, “Were we disappointed? Sure. But it happens.”<\/p>\n

Parker later revealed that they did not ask Cattrall to be apart of AJLT\u00a0<\/em>because of her public dislike for the show saying, “That’s not ‘slamming’ her, it’s just learning.”<\/p>\n

Parker wanted people to know that this is not a “catfight.” She told the outlet, “It\u2019s so painful for people to keep talking about this \u2018catfight\u2019 \u2014 a \u2018fight,\u2019 a \u2018fight,\u2019 a \u2018fight.\u2019 I\u2019ve never uttered fighting words in my life about anybody that I\u2019ve worked with \u2014 ever<\/em>.\u00a0There is not a \u2018fight\u2019 going on.”<\/p>\n

She continued, “I just wish that they would stop calling this a \u2018catfight\u2019 or an \u2018argument,\u2019 because it doesn\u2019t reflect [reality]. There has been one person talking.”<\/p>\n

Amongst the tension (not<\/em> fight) between Parker and Cattrall, Parker’s costar from the hit movie, Hocus Pocus <\/em>(which is set to to release its reboot in September 2022) seemingly weighed in on the conversation.<\/p>\n

On Thursday after the article published, Kathy Najimy publicly supported Cattrall on Twitter writing, “@KimCattrall Sending you alll the love and support in the WORLD today!! one of the best, most authentic humans in the ‘business’ and maybe the world! Dinner soon my love!”<\/p>\n

Najimy, who plays Mary Sanderson in Hocus Pocus<\/em>, since deleted the tweet (it was captured by DailyMail<\/em><\/a>) and posted another message that reads, “Sending love to my brilliant authentic talented beautiful hilarious @kimcattrall1 today..miss you.”<\/p>\n
