Stepping out in style at the 75th<\/sup> annual Cannes Film Festival<\/a>, costars Kristen Stewart and L\u00e9a Seydoux took a walk on the dapper side, suiting up for their Crimes of the Future<\/em> photocall at the Palais des Festivals. Adding an androgynous twist to chic suiting, the pair let their own individual style identities spice up each look.<\/p>\n

Both actors are brand ambassadors for French fashion houses (Stewart for Chanel and Seydoux for Louis Vuitton) and each chose their respective brands for the French film festival.<\/p>\n

Former Bond girl<\/a> actress Seydoux, opted for a more standard, boxy suit set from Louis Vuitton. She teamed an oversized black wool jacket and matching shorts, with a white silk shirt beneath, colorful, floral-print tie, and black pointy-toe pumps, all from Louis Vuitton, styled by Alexandra Imgruth. The No Time To Die<\/em><\/a> star wore her blonde cropped coif softly brushed to one side.<\/p>\n

Stewart chose a red checkered tweed jumpsuit from Chanel’s Resort 2023 collection (which was shown in Monte-Carlo earlier this month) for the photo opp. Choosing to forego a bra and wear the ensemble unbuttoned, Stewart’s plunging neckline gave the piece an extra does of edge. Styled by Tara Swennen, the look became quintessentially Stewart with her gold-tinted aviator sunglasses, platform black boots, and signature laissez-faire wavy blonde tresses.<\/p>\n

Speaking with WWD<\/em><\/a> about her new film and her close-knit relationship with the house of Chanel, Stewart acknowledged her proclivity for breaking sartorial rules (remember when she showed up to the Academy Awards in hot pants?). “I would feel worse not doing it,” she told the outlet. “I would feel more scared being tamed.”<\/p>\n

Promoting the controversial sci-fi\/ horror film directed by David Cronenberg, Stewart and Seydoux star alongside actor Viggo Mortensen, as the film\u2019s titular character. Mortensen portrays celebrity performance artist, Saul Tenser, as he attempts to showcase the transformation of his organs in the name of art, while a mysterious group tries to leverage Tenser\u2019s fame to shine a light on the next stage of human evolution.<\/p>\n

Causing a stir for his use of body horror, Stewart told the publication<\/a>\u00a0it\u2019s about far more than just the gore. \u201cPeople associate David with body horror, and sort of a critical eye on the world that we live in. But what is always present is desire and sensuality, there\u2019s always a reason why he\u2019s stepping toward fear,\u201d she said. \u201cIn this movie, it just feels like a testament to his entire life. He\u2019s given so much in every film he\u2019s ever
