Does, \u201cHappy Birthday, Mr. President\u201d ring a bell? Kim Kardashian slipped into Marilyn Monroe\u2019s 1962 Swarovski-covered shimmering Jean Louis dress for the 2022 Met Gala<\/a>, 60 years after the actress wore the gown to serenade President John F. Kennedy at Madison Square Garden for his 45th<\/sup> birthday.<\/p>\n

Last month, Kardashian shared a tidbit with Vogue<\/em><\/a>, teasing that her 2022 Met Gala gown couldn’t be altered, which made fans go wild guessing which vintage masterpiece Kardashian would adorn.<\/p>\n

On the carpet, Kardashian spoke to her close friend Vogue<\/em> livestream co-host La La Anthony, saying, \u201cI had this idea to put it on and try it on. Then, they came with armed guards and gloves, and I tried it on and it didn\u2019t fit me. So I looked at them, and I said, \u2018Give me like 3 weeks.\u2019 I had to lose 16 pounds down today to be able to fit this. It was such a challenge. It was like a role. I was determined to fit it!\u201d<\/p>\n

She teamed the look with a white coat worn off the shoulders and 18-carat Cartier drop earrings. With her newly dyed blonde locks tied tightly back into a slick bun, the SKIMS founder said, \u201cI dyed my hair blonde, but I still wanted to be me. I\u2019ll stay blonde for a while.\u201d<\/p>\n

Kardashian made a fashionable late entrance with her comedian boyfriend Pete Davidson<\/a>. \u201cDoesn\u2019t he look so handsome?\u201d Kim said of her beau. \u201cShe didn\u2019t let me wear my propeller hat, but it\u2019s fine,\u201d joked Davidson.<\/p>\n

Having just made their red carpet couple debut on Saturday night in Washington D.C.<\/a>, the buzzy couple is on a roll.<\/p>\n

Rumors started swirling around the pair\u2019s relationship status after Kardashian hosted Saturday Night Live<\/em> last October. Ever since, the pair has been seen out and about at restaurants, premieres, and prestigious ceremonies<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Kardashian always goes full force with her Met Gala look (remember her fully covered-up Balenciaga look last September?) but this one was an appropriate choice considering the significant parallels between the Keeping Up<\/em><\/a> star and Monroe. While the public has often compared their famous figures, both women have managed to redefine the collective consensus of female sexuality, through both their public personas and their outfits, which
