If there\u2019s one thing the movie world has been missing in recent years, it\u2019s a good rom-com. Despite many failed attempts at modernizing the genre, its golden era of the \u201890s and early aughts, with films such as <\/span>Love Actually, Bridget Jones, Pretty Woman<\/span><\/i> and <\/span>Notting Hill<\/span><\/i>, still reign supreme. But if anyone knows their way around a good rom-com, it\u2019s Julia Roberts, the pretty woman in <\/span>Pretty Woman<\/span><\/i> and the A-list actress that woos Hugh Grant in <\/span>Notting Hill<\/span><\/i>, who\u2019s signed on for her first role in one in over two decades.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Not only does the upcoming film Ticket to Paradise<\/em> star Roberts, but she\u2019s joined by her friend and fellow acting veteran George Clooney, as well as a younger cast made up of <\/span>Emily in Paris<\/span><\/i> hottie<\/span> star Lucas Bravo and <\/span>Booksmart\u2019<\/span><\/i>s Kaitlyn Dever and Billie Lourd.<\/span><\/p>\n

According to <\/span>Deadline<\/span><\/i><\/a>, the focus of the movie is divorced couple Clooney and Roberts, who “team up and travel to Bali to stop their daughter making the same mistake they made 25 years ago.” That mistake? Getting married.<\/span><\/p>\n

Bravo\u2019s role on the project hasn\u2019t been announced, but it looks likely he\u2019s the hopeful groom-to-be to Dever, who plays Roberts and Clooney\u2019s young daughter.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

As for Roberts\u2019 much-awaited return to rom-coms, the actress says she hadn\u2019t said yes to a script in 20 years simply because there weren\u2019t any good ones. \u201cPeople sometimes misconstrue the amount of time that\u2019s gone by that I haven\u2019t done a romantic comedy as my not wanting to do one,\u201d she told the <\/span>New York Times<\/span><\/i><\/a>. <\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cIf I had read something that I thought was that<\/span> Notting Hill <\/span><\/i>level of writing or<\/span> My Best Friend\u2019s Wedding <\/span><\/i>level of madcap fun, I would do it.
