On a winter’s night in Paris last December, guests of Chanel’s<\/a> Paris \u2013 31 rue Cambon 2019\/20 Me\u0301tiers d\u2019art runway show converged at La Coupole restaurant, a cultural institution in the City of Lights. Belgian singer Ange\u0300le played the piano while girls in gauzy gold lace and glittering sequins swirled around the legendary venue, draping themselves on plush velvet poufs and posing before letting their hair down at La Coupole\u2019s famous Dancing.<\/p>\n

Gigi Hadid ate steak frites, Sofia Coppola snapped selfies, model Vittoria Ceretti twirled sparklers, while Anna Ewers ducked on the dancefloor. Even Kristen Stewart was there, whispering sweet nothings into the ears of fellow Chanel ambassadors Lily-Rose Depp and Margaret Qualley. Exactly how you’d imagine a Chanel party, really. And to capture it all were filmmakers Roman and Sofia Coppola.<\/p>\n

To celebrate the arrival of the Paris \u2013 31 rue Cambon 2019\/20 M\u00e9tiers d\u2019art collection in boutiques, two films were produced by the House; one of the fabulous dinner and show, and one that honors over a century of creation at the heart of CHANEL\u2019s historic address.<\/p>\n

For her first M\u00e9tiers d\u2019art collection, Virginie Viard<\/a> naturally wanted to pay tribute to 31 rue Cambon – the home and indeed heart of Chanel – which was reconstructed for the show in a collaboration with Sofia Coppola in December 2019. Beneath the glass roof of the Grand Palais, this unique space was also the backdrop for the collection campaign.<\/p>\n
