This summer is ushering in the return of the destination runway show. <\/span>After two years of online presentations and reduced capacity shows due to the COVID-19 pandemic, luxury brands are once again bringing their creativity across the globe, choosing places to debut new collections that hold sentimental value to the designers, while inspiring fans along the way.<\/p>\n

Last month, Simon Porte Jacquemus took his cult-favorite label to Hawaii<\/a>, creating a show that honored the local community. Meanwhile, Alexander McQueen<\/a> made its glorious return to the Big Apple<\/a> after almost 20 years paying homage to the city that has served as inspiration for late founder Lee Alexander McQueen.<\/p>\n

The latest brand to announce it’ll be staging a runway away from home is the French fashion house, Balenciaga. Creative director Demna who has been showing his futuristic dystopian collections in Paris, will travel across the pond to bring his Spring 2023 collection to New York City on May 21. <\/span><\/p>\n

Louis Vuitton and Dior Men’s will also head to the United States. Louis Vuitton will host its 2023 Cruise show in Southern California on May 12 while the latter heads to the City of Angels for Spring 2023. On Dior’s womenswear side, creative director Maria Grazia Chiuri will show her Cruise 2023 collection in the iconic Plaza de Espa\u00f1a, in Seville on June 16.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Another Parisian-based brand spreading its wings includes Chanel, which is showing its Cruise 2023 show in Monaco on May 5.<\/p>\n

Additionally, Gucci will head to a yet-to-be-disclosed city in Europe to host a coed show on May 16.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

In Italy, Pucci’s new creative director Camille Miceli<\/a> will debut her first “La Grotta Azzurra” collection for the heritage label in Capri as a nod to where founder Emilio Pucci opened his first boutique in Marina Piccola in 1951. And finally, Max Mara will land in Portugal at the end of June for their Cruise 2023 presentation \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

As designers take flight with their latest designs, we, for one, can’t wait to see how it inspires
