(Photo by Arturo Holmes\/FilmMagic)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Promoting the newly-released second <a href=\"https:\/\/graziamagazine.com\/us\/articles\/spring-2022-tv-returning-bridgerton\/\">season<\/a> of the Netflix smash hit <em>Bridgerton<\/em>, leading lady <a href=\"https:\/\/graziamagazine.com\/us\/articles\/simone-ashley-bridgerton-season-2-premiere\/\">Simone Ashley<\/a> stopped by late night talk show <a href=\"https:\/\/graziamagazine.com\/us\/articles\/keke-palmer-green-outfit\/\"><em>Jimmy Kimmel Live!<\/em><\/a> on Monday where she discussed the popular period drama and her role as Kate Sharma, and revealed an unexpected talent.<\/p>\n<p>Ashley shared that during COVID-19 lockdowns, she picked up an impressive new skill. &#8220;I was in L.A. over lockdown in 2020, and I did all the regular stuff, like making banana bread, tie-dying, all that kind of stuff. I thought it would be a good idea to get my own tattoo pen with the needle. It\u2019s called a rotary pen,\u201d she told Kimmel, saying it was \u201csurprisingly easy&#8221; to order one online.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Simone Ashley on Being Cast in Bridgerton, Going to the Vanity Fair Oscars Party &amp; Giving Tattoos\" width=\"500\" height=\"281\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/BThfQNam8UU?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>With all tattoo parlors shut down amid the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, Ashley started searching, &#8220;How to do a tattoo at home.&#8221; She found someone who provided step-by-step instructions and eventually noticed that the website source read, &#8220;prisontattoo.com.&#8221; After realizing she was watching a video from a prison inmate Ashley exclaimed, &#8220;This is a fab idea, then I did it. I followed his instructions.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The 26-year-old <em>Sex Education<\/em> actress then proceeded to show off her self-inked Sphynx cat tattoo right above her ankle, while Kimmel asked if the illustration was a dog. Joking that this will be a great skill if Ashley ever ends up in prison, the two teased that the actress will give Kimmel a tattoo after the show.<\/p>\n<p>She did, in fact, already test her skills on other friends, including castmates that she&#8217;s &#8220;worked with in the past.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Known for her role in <em><a href=\"https:\/\/graziamagazine.com\/us\/articles\/bridgerton-season-2-details\/\">Sex Education<\/a>, <\/em>and poised to be the breakout star of <em>Bridgerton\u2019s <\/em>latest season, we\u2019re sure this is only the beginning for Ashley\u2019s acting career \u2014 and her tattooing side
