After a two-year postponement due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Sarah Jessica Parker<\/a> and husband, Matthew Broderick are making their way back to Broadway to star alongside one another in the revival of Neil Simon\u2019s 1968 comedy Plaza Suite.\u00a0<\/em>And to celebrate opening night, Parker gave full glitz and glamour, just like we knew she would.<\/p>\n

Dressed to the nines in an appropriately themed ’60s-inspired ensemble, Parker tapped designer Prabal Gurung<\/a> to create her look for the big night, featuring a pink A-line gown with a sheer crystal-adorned overlay. The designer took to Instagram<\/a> to express his gratitude and appreciation for the Sex and the City<\/em> star writing, \u201cTo me, nobody epitomizes New York like Sarah Jessica, in every possible way, so it was a great honor.”<\/p>\n

He continued, “It always makes me very emotional because it reminds me how fortunate I am. I know that our industry can be arduous and challenging at times, but at moments like this, I\u2019m so grateful that our work can be a source of joy and optimism for someone. I can\u2019t tell you how blessed I feel to be able to create something beautiful for a dear friend of mine.\u201d<\/p>\n

In another post<\/a>, Gurung captioned an image of Parker posing in the cloaked bubblegum pink gown writing, \u201cA New York icon in a New York Pink. Grateful for this moment, for you and for our friendship.\u201d<\/p>\n
