The glitz and glamour of Oscars<\/a> Sunday kicked off one day early on Saturday, with a slew of fashionable parties thrown by A-lister’s favorite fashion labels. But there was one event, hosted by Giorgio Armani, that both f\u00eated Hollywood’s big weekend and unveiled a chic new storefront for the brand.<\/p>\n

Armani Group just reopened its newly designed Giorgio Armani boutique on Rodeo Drive in Beverly Hills and celebrated the opening in the most Oscar-worthy way.\u00a0On Saturday the brand toasted the ultimate Tinseltown starlet (and friend of the brand), Nicole Kidman, for her Best Actress Oscars nomination for her role as Lucille Ball in Being the Ricardos\u00a0<\/em>with an intimate cocktail party thrown by actress Roberta Armani.<\/p>\n

A number of other heavy-hitters also stopped to check out the new design including Sophia Loren, Adrian Brody, Alexandra Daddario, Brittany O\u2019Grady, Karolina Kurkova, Tiffany Haddish, Reg\u00e9-Jean Page and GRAZIA USA<\/em>‘s March cover star Lana Condor<\/a>\u00a0to name a few.<\/p>\n

Giorgio Armani first opened its L.A. flagship in August 1988, and its reopening and renovation (it’s one of the company’s largest retail spaces at 854-square meters) solidifies the brand’s strong relationship with the world of film, entertainment and music. There are touches of L.A. throughout, including a glass fa\u00e7ade inspired by palm trees. To mark the important reopening, another very L.A.<\/em> touch was included, by featuring an exclusive eveningwear assortment at the store till the end of April, just in time to get shoppers ready for the Oscars and upcoming Grammy Awards events and parties.<\/p>\n

Kidman arrived for her soir\u00e9e in a sheer, intricately beaded tank, worn with black trousers, a black jacket and Jimmy Choo flats (no doubt a good call before a long Oscars night).<\/p>\n

One day later, the actress wore a custom creation from the brand on the Oscars red carpet, in a strapless bustier ballgown with peplum skirt and bow accent that extended into a long train with gold crystal embellishment.<\/p>\n

While speaking with E! on the carpet the actress gushed, “I\u2019m lucky because, this dress, they actually made this color. So they dyed it, it\u2019s silk faille. I love the material. I was like I really want to wear blue. I love the color.”<\/p>\n
