Beyonc\u00e9<\/a> showed up (err… kind of) to put on a show for the 94th Academy Awards<\/a>. Queen Bey, who may win her first Oscar Sunday night, opened the 2022 Oscars with a performance a few miles south of the Dolby Theatre<\/a> at Venus and Serena Williams’ hometown tennis courts in Compton, California.<\/span><\/p>\n

The 40-year old artist and her backup dancers hit the courts in neon yellow tennis ball-colored ensembles. Beyonc\u00e9 performed “Be Alive” from the Best Picture\u2013nominated film <\/span>King Richard<\/span><\/em>, starring Will Smith, in a custom look by London-based fashion designer David Koma. According to the brand, the ensemble was inspired by David Koma’s Spring-Summer look 11 and Fall-Winter 2022 look 15.<\/span><\/p>\n

The superstar’s outfit featured a feather-adorned top with matching yellow gloves, plus briefs exposed under her asymmetrical sheer skirt. She teamed it all with mega-watt drop earrings, a garter accessory and matching pumps.<\/p>\n

Each dancer also wore neon looks, including crop tops, gloves and sheer skirts, with braided and beaded hairstyles that referenced Venus and Serena’s past looks.<\/p>\n

Continuing to add an adorable and heartwarming element to her performance, Beyonc\u00e9’s daughter, Blue Ivy, appeared in front of her mother during the song. The 10-year-old proved that talent certainly runs in the family. Blue Ivy kept up with the professional dancers in the choreography as Bey hit the high vocals.<\/span><\/p>\n

The star later made her way to the theater to be on-hand as her category, Best Music Original Score, was announced. Beyonc\u00e9 lost to Billie Eilish and Finneas who won for their song “No Time to Die,” but Bey was still a winner for sporting her tennis-inspired look at the show. She changed into a highlighter yellow custom Valentino Haute Couture crepe cady dress with silk faille cape, worn with matching gloves. And accessorized with a pair of 150-carat Lorraine Schwartz earrings and a 35-carat oval diamond pinky ring, topped off with a tennis-ball clutch (<\/span>which you can see
