Grab a drink, stat, because you’re going to want to celebrate this news! And Just Like That<\/em><\/a>, which premiered in December 2021, will be back on your television screen. On Tuesday, March 22, HBO Max confirmed the series would be back for a second season<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cI am delighted and excited to tell more stories about these vibrant, bold characters \u2014 played by these powerful, amazing actors. The fact is, we\u2019re all thrilled. And Just like That<\/em>\u2026 our Sex life is back,\u201d executive producer Michael Patrick King<\/strong> said in a statement obtained by Deadline<\/em><\/a>.<\/p>\n

Sarah Aubrey<\/strong>, Head of Original Content at HBO Max, gushed, \u201cWe have been delighted by the cultural conversation generated by these characters and their stories, set in a world we already know and love so much. We are proud of the work Michael and our wonderful writers, producers, cast and crew have done to bring these stories to the screen. We can\u2019t wait for fans to see what\u2019s in store for season 2!\u201d<\/p>\n

Sarah Jessica Parker<\/strong>, Kristin Davis<\/strong> and Cynthia Nixon<\/strong> all reprised their roles from Sex and the City<\/em><\/a>, which aired from 1998 to 2004. However, Kim Cattrall<\/strong>, who played Samantha Jones, made it clear she did not want to return<\/a> after she feuded with her costars.<\/p>\n

In the season finale, Miranda (Nixon) found love with Che (Sara Ramirez<\/strong><\/a>), Carrie (Parker) seems to be dating someone that works on her podcast, while Charlotte (Davis) threw a bat mitzvah … for herself.<\/p>\n

When asked if the series was going to come back again<\/a>, Nixon wasn’t positive.<\/p>\n

\u201cEven though I\u2019m an executive producer and I got to direct an episode, I am not a writer. And so, that is one of the great privileges of being a writer, that it\u2019s not my job to figure it out, thank god,\u201d the actress told\u00a0Entertainment Tonight<\/em><\/a>\u00a0when asked about the fate of the series. \u201cYou know, it\u2019s my job to say that doesn\u2019t seem right for my character. But in terms of the amazing writers, we have [been] dreaming things up. They know much better than I do.\u201d<\/p>\n

But Sarita Choudhury<\/strong>, who plays Seema Patel, was interested in continuing the story.<\/p>\n

\u201cJust the other day, I was thinking, \u2018I wonder.\u2019 Because there\u2019s a point where they let you know if there is or not and we\u2019re not at that point yet,\u201d she spilled. \u201cI was thinking, \u2018God, I hope there is,\u2019 And also, I was thinking, you know when you\u00a0bring in new characters<\/a>\u00a0and you just start establishing and everyone\u2019s getting used to all of us having grown up, Carrie\u2019s grown up. I feel like the second [season] would be able to just jump into who they really are as opposed to getting the audience used to seeing what they\u2019re seeing. So I\u00a0would love a second season<\/a>, but I really don\u2019t know.\u201d<\/p>\n
