While being in Hollywood movies can be glamorous<\/a>, it can also take a toll on your hair \u2014 just ask Sydney Sweeney<\/strong>!<\/p>\n

The Euphoria<\/em> star, who recently dyed her hair red<\/a> for an upcoming film, spoke about the lessons she has learned from touching her tresses so much.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe first time I dyed my hair blonde, I cried my eyes out because my hair naturally was [long. When] I dyed my hair blonde, I didn’t even cut it but it went up to my shoulders,\u201d she told Bustle<\/em><\/a>. \u201cIt’s so weird; my nails grow super fast, but my hair doesn\u2019t. It’s been a battle of trying to get my hair to be healthy. I’ve been working on it [and] it’s getting better.\u201d<\/p>\n

Sweeney, who is naturally a brunette, has an important tip when taking care of one’s mane. \u201cOne of the biggest changes [to my hair routine] is this shower head [that I got from Amazon] that filters the water,\u201d she noted. \u201cThe water isn\u2019t as harsh and there are not as many chemicals in it. That has changed everything.\u201d<\/p>\n

Though her character, Cassie Howard<\/a>, in Euphoria<\/em> is always trying out new looks, the actress<\/a> likes to keep it simple. In terms of makeup, she uses blush and mascara every day \u2014 and that’s it! However, she does have a weakness for manicures.<\/p>\n

\u201cI’m obsessed with fun nails; I change my nails like every two days,\u201d she gushed. \u201cIt’s something I’ve always loved. I remember in middle school, I used to sit on my bathroom floor with all of my little nail art and try to do my own nails before I went to school. I consider my nails another accessory<\/a>.\u201d<\/p>\n

During season 3 of the HBO series, fans got to see Cassie pine<\/a> for Nate Jacobs<\/strong>‘ love, and according to Sweeney, she loved the “Oklahoma look” \u2014 you know, the one where she wore a gingham blue dress \u2014 but her top pick would be when Cassie turned into Maddy (Alexa Demie<\/strong>) at the birthday party and ended up getting a little too drunk.
