Sydney Sweeney<\/a> has been a star on the rise for years in the making, and has officially become a staple of prestige television, starring in Sharp Objects<\/em>, The Handmaid’s Tale<\/em>, Euphoria<\/em><\/a>\u00a0and The White Lotus<\/em><\/a>. She’s also no stranger to the silver screen, making appearances in Once Upon a Time in… Hollywood<\/em>, Night Teeth,<\/em>\u00a0The Voyeurs <\/em>and snagged a lead role in the upcoming film National Anthem<\/a>.<\/em> While Euphoria<\/em> is on hiatus until season 3 starts filming, Sweeney is stepping up by working on the other side of the camera.<\/p>\n

The actress launched her production company Fifty-Fifty Films in 2020, and has already picked up her first project in partnership with Jean-Marc Vall\u00e9e and Nathan Ross\u2019 Crazyrose and Endeavor Content. The Players Table<\/em>, based on Jessica Goodman’s suspenseful novel They Wish They Were Us, <\/em>is going to be a new HBO Max series, starring Sweeney herself and the singer Halsey.<\/p>\n

The multi-hyphenate recently opened up about producing, in an interview with Teen Vogue<\/a>, <\/em>where she explained why adapting the stories of first-time female authors, bourgeoning directors, and up-and-coming screenwriters is so important to her.<\/p>\n

“Being able to make a dream of theirs that they didn\u2019t think was possible for years and years happen, is amazing \u2014 to never put a limit to what their capabilities are because they\u2019re female, or their age, or their background,\u201d she said in the interview. \u201cI\u2019m a big advocate for making sure everybody\u2019s voice is heard.\u201d<\/p>\n

Owning the rights to several books, producing and starring in her debut film adaptation, it’s only the beginning for
