Awash with bright colors, skin-baring silhouettes, and stylish suiting, the 2022 Independent Spirit Awards\u2019 blue carpet saw the stars of our favorite films and series of the past year dressed to the nines.<\/p>\n

With Julia Fox<\/a> and Daisy Edgar-Jones<\/a> making a case for extreme cutouts<\/a>, Sydney Sweeney<\/a> opted for her go-to brand, Miu Miu<\/a>, while Lily James continued on her bombshell journey<\/a>. The Underground Railroad<\/em>\u2019s Thuso Mbedu was the picture of elegance in her Christian Dior Fall\/Winter 2021 Haute Couture peplum pant set as she took home the award for Best Female Performance in a New Scripted Series. Another actress to don a posh set of trousers was Kristen Stewart<\/a>, sporting the bridal look from Chanel\u2019s Pre-Fall 2022 collection from the house\u2019s M\u00e9tiers d\u2019Art division. White and shimmering, contrasted with graphic black panels, Stewart\u2019s look evoked an effortless feel.<\/p>\n

Taylour Paige was celebrated for her role in A24\u2019s Zola<\/em><\/a> in a matching bolero and pencil skirt set while Maggie Gyllenhaal raked in the awards for The Lost Daughter<\/em><\/a> for Best Director, Best Feature, and Best Screenplay in a Gucci set that can only be described as an absolute power play. As women are famously underrepresented as filmmakers, Gyllenhaal\u2019s oversized structural shoulders served as the perfect fit for her directorial debut\u2019s big wins.<\/p>\n

From Daveed Diggs\u2019 rainbow Moschino<\/a>, Taika Waititi\u2019s salmon colored Dzojchen, and Andrew Garfield\u2019s Valentino, suiting was bright and playful on the carpet. Energized and refreshing, these stars spiced up classic suit styles.<\/p>\n

Held in Santa Monica hosted by Hollywood couple, Pam & Tommy<\/em><\/a>\u2019s Nick Offerman and Megan Mullally (of Will & Grace<\/em> fame), and honoring Shiva Baby<\/em>, Passing<\/em>, and Zola<\/em>, the ceremony also gave fans a reunion between The White Lotus<\/em><\/a>‘ Murray Bartlett and Sydney Sweeney<\/a> while celebrating independent projects.<\/p>\n
