What could have been! Even though fans were upset to see Ashtray (Javon Walton<\/strong>) die in the<\/a> Euphoria<\/em> season 2 finale, the show was actually supposed to take a different route.<\/p>\n

Instead of Ashtray dying, his older brother, Fezco (Angus Cloud<\/strong><\/a>) was supposed to be killed off<\/a>, as in the first episode of season 2, viewers learn the backstory about Fezco and his grandmother<\/a> (Kathrine Narducci<\/strong>). But creator Sam Levinson<\/strong> decided to switch things one day before filming and rewrote the script.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt was insane that ended up being the ending of it all,\u201d Walton told Entertainment Tonight<\/em><\/a>.<\/p>\n

During the finale, Fezco tried to take the blame for when Ashtray<\/a>\u00a0killed off Custer (Tyler Chase<\/strong>), but he locked himself in his bathroom with ammo and guns instead, shooting at the S.W.A.T. team that eventually comes into Fezco’s apartment.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe\u2019s definitely ride or die for [Fez]. That\u2019s his main thing,\u201d Walton shared. \u201cHe really snapped in the last episode. That was his breaking point. He doesn\u2019t show it that often but when he does, it\u2019s noticeable that he\u2019s a kid.\u201d<\/p>\n

Though some viewers pointed out that we never see Ashtray’s body, it sounds like his character’s fate is sealed<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Despite no longer being on the series, Walton loved hanging out with Cloud. \u201cWe had a ton of fun,\u201d he said. \u201cWe had a really good chemistry. So it was easy to build that Ashtray and Fez chemistry because we were doing that so well off camera.\u201d<\/p>\n

Walton is also rooting for Fezco and Lexi<\/a> (Maude Apatow<\/strong>) to take their romance to the next level in season 3.\u00a0\u201cIt was a really cute relationship and I hope they go far in season 3. I thought it was a really good bond,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

But Walton is still holding out hope that his character is doing just fine<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cMan, I just hope he\u2019s alive,\u201d the actor told\u00a0Esquire<\/em><\/a>. \u201cBecause I\u2019m sure he didn\u2019t just get shot one time by taking cover in the bathtub and getting shot through the wall.\u201d He adds, \u201cYou know that Fez needs Ash, and Ash needs Fez. They both really rely on each other, so it\u2019s going to be really hard for both of
