Relaxation. <\/em>Drawn from the June presentation of Chanel ‘Balade en M\u00e9diterran\u00e9e’ – <\/em>the\u00a0English translation, ‘A Mediterranean Walk’ – Lily-Rose Depp stunningly fronts Chanel Cruise 2020\/2021<\/a> through the lens of world-renowned photographer, Karim Sadli. In a bid to evoke themes of \u201cthe holidays, a gentle torpor, nature, the sea, the sound of the waves. Images of films too…\u201d says the photographer, the playfulness of the French house and its eternal femininity was a perfect synthesis with the actress.<\/p>\n

\"Chanel<\/p>\n

\u201cVirginie Viard was looking for someone who could embody a freshness, a sort of candor, a liberated and confident femininity, and who has a playful spirit,\u201d confides the photographer. The choice of muse naturally fell therefore on the actress and CHANEL ambassador Lily-Rose Depp. \u201cI\u2019ve known Lily-Rose since she was young in Los Angeles, through her mother, before she started her career as an actress. I have a great deal of affection for her, and we shot this campaign in an atmosphere of familiarity and trust.\u201d<\/p>\n

Shot in the region of Paris, a grand stone house provides the apt backdrop for the campaign. Within the frame, Depp revives memories of the Riviera and nods to the legendary actresses from the 1960s by which the collection is inspired.<\/p>\n

A jacket and wraparound skirt suit in pink tweed worn over a triangle bikini top in organza highlighted with multicolor sequins and a bandeau top and trousers outfit in pale pink tweed recall the colors of bougainvillea. A cape and skirt in black chiffon twirl with elegance. A top knotted at the front and a long skirt with a slit in black tweed liberate movement. Jeweled belts worn in accumulation complete the silhouettes. A rattan basket shoulder bag, a small bucket bag embellished with metal chains interlaced with leather and sunglasses topped with a visor are the essential accessories of this summery escapade. \u201cI really want to take this collection with me on vacation to the French Riviera,\u201d says Lily-Rose Depp.<\/p>\n
