If you’re watching Euphoria<\/em><\/a>, then you probably have a soft spot for Fezco, who is played by Angus Cloud<\/strong>. In the series, the teenager is involved in some shady business, but at the end of the day, he is starting to fall for Lexi<\/a> (Maude Apatow<\/strong>) and he cares deeply about keeping his younger brother, Ashtray (Javon Walton<\/strong>).<\/p>\n

Cloud went to Oakland School for the Arts in California, which is also where Zendaya<\/strong><\/a>, who plays Rue on the show, attended.<\/p>\n

“We had some of the same friends I guess, but I didn’t really know her,” he shared in 2019. Cloud actually studied technical theater and worked on the production side of things.<\/p>\n

So, when he was approached by a casting agent in Manhattan who wanted him to read for a new television show<\/a>, Cloud was “confused and I didn’t want to give her my phone number,” he recalled. “I thought it was a scam.”<\/p>\n

However, he ended up auditioning and landed the role of Fezco in HBO Max’s hit series.<\/p>\n

Since it was his first acting job, Cloud was nervous when they started filming.\u00a0\u201cI\u2019m like, \u2018I don\u2019t know what I am doing. Why did they bring me over here for this? They should have gotten a real actor for this job,\u2019\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s a different kind of hard. I am not running around sweating, but it\u2019s that mental s**t. You have to stay focused. You have to be on point. You can\u2019t call in sick. Acting takes a lot out of you. I\u2019d be drained, but I was just sitting there acting<\/a>,\u201d he continued.<\/p>\n

Fezco wasn’t supposed to make it past season 1<\/a>, but the crew liked him so much they kept him on \u2014 something that still shocks him to this day.<\/p>\n

“I don’t know. I still don’t understand it, to be honest with you, man. I really don’t because I still get up and I’m like, ‘What the heck? What am I doing here? Why did they not hire a professional actor?’ I just had to come to terms because during the filming of the pilot everyone would compliment me and say, ‘Oh you’re killing it, man,'” he said. “And I was like, ‘No, I’m not, but thank you for trying to make me feel better.’ Because I just felt like I had no idea what I was doing. I felt like I was doing a terrible job. So yeah, it gave me that solid evidence that was like, ‘Damn, actually I guess I must be doing something right<\/a>.'”<\/p>\n

Though he has a lot of intense scenes, he was excited to show viewers another side to Fezco in season 2. “It’s nice, because I’m not the most serious guy in real life but on the show I’m usually not smiling,” he confessed. “So it was nice to be able to just stop furrowing my brow. At the end of a long day of carrying the angry, serious face, it’s nice to relax on that intensity.”<\/p>\n

These days, he is living his best life \u2014 he just made a splash at New York Fashion Week<\/a> \u2014 but he still prefers to keep a low profile.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019d rather people didn\u2019t recognize me. I\u2019m not mad at them because they do, but I\u2019d rather they didn\u2019t. I just want to have regular interactions with people. I don\u2019t want to be treated special<\/a>,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

Now that he has found his passion, he is not stopping anytime soon<\/a>.<\/p>\n

“We’re all in. I just finished a movie the other day and now I’m headed to Oklahoma City tomorrow to work on another movie. So we’re trying to keep the ball rolling. I love this job. The only part that sucks is that you have to get a new job every time one ends. Acting is … I always have a great time.
