Just in March alone, we\u2019re getting shows based on the stories behind WeWork, <em>Tiger King<\/em>, Theranos and even Julia Child! Get ready for a lot of actor transformations\u2014and at least one fake nose\u2014in the shows we can\u2019t wait to binge this spring.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"JOE vs CAROLE | Official Teaser | Peacock Original\" width=\"500\" height=\"281\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/62VFGOJhg8w?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p><strong>Joe vs. Carole<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Look, at this point I\u2019m not sure how to feel about <a href=\"https:\/\/graziamagazine.com\/us\/articles\/the-loud-shirt-edit-inspired-by-the-one-and-only-joe-exotic\/\">Joe Exotic<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/graziamagazine.com\/us\/articles\/a-carole-baskin-inspired-edit-of-animal-print-joe-exotic-tiger-king\/\">Carole Baskin<\/a> or the whole <a href=\"https:\/\/graziamagazine.com\/us\/articles\/true-crime-documentaries-to-stream\/\"><em>Tiger King<\/em><\/a> phenomenon. Or about the semi-exploitative nature of the many fictionalized shows based on recent scams and scandals with which we are inundated lately. But I <em>do<\/em> know that a show in which Kate McKinnon and John Cameron Mitchell just get buck wild playing these absurd characters is probably worth my time, and possibly yours as well. First came reportage, then the podcast, then the documentary and now the scripted limited series. Hulu\u2019s <em>The Dropout<\/em> is based on the 2019 ABC News podcast of the same name and stars Oscar nominee <a href=\"https:\/\/graziamagazine.com\/us\/articles\/amanda-seyfried-suits-up-in-velvet\/\">Amanda Seyfried<\/a> as the captivatingly creepy <a href=\"https:\/\/graziamagazine.com\/us\/articles\/amanda-seyfried-elizabeth-holmes-hulu-series\/\">Elizabeth Holmes<\/a>. Streaming March 3 on Hulu.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Shining Vale | Official Trailer | STARZ\" width=\"500\" height=\"281\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/9sbecEEZTEw?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p><strong>The Shining Vale <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>This wry, spooky comedy from co-creator Sharon Horgan owes a little bit to <em>Blithe Spirit <\/em>and a little bit to Stephen King. <a href=\"https:\/\/graziamagazine.com\/us\/articles\/friends-fountain-scene-courtney-cox\/\">Courtney Cox<\/a> stars as a frustrated writer who movies with her husband (Greg Kinnear) and kids to a suburban house haunted by the ghost of Mira Sorvino! Premieres March 6 on Starz.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Ren\u00e9e Zellweger Stars in NBC\u2019s The Thing About Pam\" width=\"500\" height=\"281\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/_6kuhLi4m54?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p><strong>The Thing About Pam <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Another ripped-from-the-headlines series\u2014this one literally ripped from NBC\u2019s <em>Dateline<\/em>\u2014this suburban crime drama find Ren\u00e9e Zellweger swaddled in <a href=\"https:\/\/graziamagazine.com\/us\/articles\/why-is-hollywood-still-using-fat-suits-instead-of-casting-plus-sized-actors\/\">layers of foam<\/a> to play Pam Hupp, a woman accused of plotting the murder of her neighbor Betsy Faria (Katy Mixon) and framing the victim\u2019s husband (Glenn Fleshler). The comedian returns to TV, writing, directing and starring in this romantic dramedy about a successful woman reevaluating her life and looking to get her groove back. Leto gets to try on another accent and prosthetic nose to embody WeWork founder Adam Neuman, whose messianic self-regard led the rise and fall of the infamous startup. Hathaway, meanwhile, gets to play Lady Macbeth-by-way-of-Goop in the form of Neuman\u2019s new age obsessed wife Rebekah who helped turn the company into something of a cult. The show explores \u201cthe emergence of public television as a new social institution, feminism and the women\u2019s movement, the nature of celebrity and America\u2019s cultural evolution,\u201d all via Child\u2019s pioneering cooking show, <em>The French Chef<\/em>.
