LaQuan Smith<\/a>‘s Fall\/Winter 2022 show on day four of New York Fashion Week<\/a> started over an hour late. Luckily enough, the cocktail hour that preceded the runway was extended, naturally allowing guests to share their assumptions of what to expect once the highly-anticipated show got rolling.<\/p>\n

The one speculation that seemed to be going around was that Uncut Gems<\/em> actress, Julia Fox<\/a>, was opening the show. Fox was already garnering some buzz given that she announced her split from Kanye West (err… Ye) after a much-publicized month-long relationship, earlier that day. (It also happened to be Valentine’s Day, no less.) Once showgoers were finally ushered to their seats and the first look was about to debut, all guests had their phones pointed at the runway for the moment of truth.<\/p>\n

Following a touching moment of silence to the late Andr\u00e9 Leon Talley<\/a>, Smith’s longtime mentor, the runway lit up, the first look debut \u2014 and viola \u2014 the rumors were true. The downtown It-girl took the runway in a stunning black cutout dress that hugged in all the right areas. The dress was quintessential LaQuan Smith sexy-meets-chic, making for one heck of a revenge dress. Fox, now adding runway model to her resume, took the floor with her head high and attitude on point as if she’s been doing it her entire life.<\/p>\n

Much like Smith, Fox plans to go to the very top, and she isn’t letting anything or anyone get in the way of that. After only making her front-row debut during Couture Week last month, the actress has now moved on to taking over the runway.
