Though Kim Kardashian<\/strong><\/a> split from Kanye West<\/strong> one year ago, it’s safe to say she is not dwelling on the past<\/a>. In fact, she is doing quite the opposite and feeling more confident than ever.<\/p>\n

“For so long, I did what made other people happy. And I think in the last two years I decided, I\u2019m going to make myself happy,” she told Vogue<\/em><\/a>. “And that feels really good.”<\/p>\n

“I think it\u2019s important to be honest with yourself about what really makes you happy<\/a>,” she explained. “I\u2019ve chosen myself. I think it\u2019s OK to choose you.”<\/p>\n

These days, the makeup mogul \u2014 who shares daughters North<\/strong>, 9, Chicago<\/strong>, 4, and sons Saint<\/strong>, 6, and Psalm<\/strong>, 2, with West \u2014 is trying to stay out of the spotlight and be present.<\/p>\n

“My 40s are about being Team Me. I\u2019m going to eat well. I\u2019m\u00a0going to work out. I\u2019m going to have more fun, spend more time with my kids and the people who make me happy,” she said. “I\u2019m going to put my phone down. Unfollow if I don\u2019t want to see something on Instagram. Khlo\u00e9 [Kardashian]<\/strong> came up with the best phrase for that yesterday. She said, \u2018Post and ghost.\u2019\u2009”<\/p>\n

Kardashian has been coupled up<\/a> with Pete Davidson<\/strong> following her SNL<\/em> debut, and it seems like she is happier than ever. However, it hasn’t been total smooth sailing, as the musical artist hasn’t stopped coming for the mom-of-four.<\/p>\n

Recently, he posted a comment about North’s TikTok, which infuriated the reality star. “Kanye’s constant attacks on me in interviews and on social media is actually more hurtful than any TikTok North might create,” she wrote via Instagram. “As the parent who is the main provider and caregiver for our children, I am doing my best to protect our daughter while also allowing her to express her creativity in the medium that she wishes with adult supervision<\/a>\u00a0\u2014 because it brings her happiness.”<\/p>\n
