Netflix announced today that\u00a0Bridgerton<\/em> star Reg\u00e9-Jean Page will narrate a new nature documentary,\u00a0Surviving Paradise: A Family Tale<\/em>, which is scheduled to premiere on the streaming service March 3. Since ending his star-turn on the Shondaland period drama in 2020, Page has been busy filming\u00a0The Gray Man<\/em> and\u00a0Dungeons & Dragons<\/em>, both of which are currently in post-production and scheduled for release in 2022 and 2023.\u00a0Surviving Paradise: A Family Tale<\/em> is Page’s first post-Bridgerton\u00a0<\/em>foray back onto the network where he first became a household name<\/p>\n

Directed by Renee Godfrey,\u00a0Surviving Paradise<\/em> is a feature-length documentary set in the Okavango Delta of north-western Botswana. A designated UNESCO World Heritage Centre<\/a>, the delta is a unique wetland ecosystem that is not connected to a sea or ocean\u2014and is the home to endangered species such as cheetahs, white rhinos, black rhinos, and lions.<\/p>\n

“Big cats may appear to reign here, but in reality, the fate of every creature, great and small, is intertwined,” the show notes explain. “This film explores the blueprints for building the perfect world, managing it sustainably, and maintaining it\u2014despite extremes of drought, famine, and flood. Most crucially, it spotlights those passing the secret formula onto their descendants, who will find it harder than ever before to keep their Eden intact.”<\/p>\n
