The Black in Fashion Council<\/a> was established at NYFW: The Shows in September 2020 by Lindsay Peoples Wagner, the editor in chief of\u00a0<\/span>T<\/em>he Cut<\/em>, and Sandrine Charles, the owner of Sandrine Charles Consulting, as a call to action for equality and inclusion in the industry. Now, entering its fourth successful season partnering with IMG<\/a>, the Black in Fashion Council is making its return for the New York Fashion Week<\/a> Fall-Winter 2022 shows.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Known for bringing Black designers<\/a> Theophilio, House of Aama, APOTTS, Marrisa Wilson, and Chuks Collins to the spotlight, the council welcomes eight new designers this season. Ashya, Cise, Dur Doux, Eugene Taylor Brand, Justin Wesley, Keama, Lavie by CK, Megan Renee, Ndigo Studio, and Salone Monet will join the BIFC showcase at Spring Studios to present their latest collections.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Black in Fashion Council continues to advocate for diversity and inclusion in corporate structures while rectifying systemically racist policies that have permeated the fashion industry for years. Its fashion week showroom is only one of many ways the organization works to pave the way for Black voices in the industry. BIFC also offers mentorship opportunities, a job board for members, and a yearly public report to track the work that companies who’ve signed a three-year commitment pledge have done.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The Black in Fashion Council Discovery Showroom will take place during NYFW: The Shows from Saturday, February 12th through Wednesday, February
